Personally, I'm not wild about the modern rendition of "assault rifles" and don't own anything that fits the popular description, but I do know a lot of people that enjoy punching paper with AR's, as well as varmint hunting. The big problem is that "assault rifle" is such a nebulous description that it is totally meaningless. A wooden-stocked Mini 14 (which I do own) is functionally identical to an AR, yet they don't seem to bother anyone.

Any weapon a lefty finds scary is an assault rifle didnt you know? And they scare easily...
Nice performance with the crocodile tear btw. Asshole should have gone to Hollywood instead of DC.

the only thing that needs to be done in the wake of CT is more mental health services and a better link between mental health professionals and the DOJ background check...and also something on the DOJ form that says "do you have a family member, son, cousin, who is mentally defective and will live in the same house as your gun?" then if you answer yes you have to show proof of a gun safe and be issues a small pamphlet that reminds uyou to keep your guns locked up and away from the crazy family member..

more government is not really the answer, as proof the current government would like MMJ to disqualify ANY person from exercising their 2nd amendment rights.

Assault weapons(weapons kill people not game) ban good. Too many nuts wannabe's have them. You want a assault weapon join the Army Infantry They'll be glad to issue you one.

Yeah another son of a bitch crazy and his assault rifle. When will the good folks put a end to them? I wonder how many .223 bushmasters are used for hunting. 24" barrels and 3 round clips, you know like shotguns used for rabbits. Constitution says nothing about military weapons, weapons damn it. You know what a weapon is a firearm whose sole purpose is combat against a human foe. Not deer hunting not anything but killing people period. I would never use a round as small as a .223 and I KNOW the vast majority of you all do not either despite your protest. Yes4 you care more for your how did you put it "military style assault weapons", than the 20 dead babies on the floor of their school.

I've got a ideal let's turn our schools into fortresses, we can add a surcharge onto the cost of your pop gun. The rest of us shouldn't be burdened with the cost of your hobby.

Tell us yes4 how many of sears have you filed down on your AR whatever? Super easy ain't it. All you need is a extra to keep in your weapon encase your pulled over. Yeah I've got several friends who believe like you and none have ever ducked a round fired in anger.

Let me go to were my guns are stored and give you a inventory. OK, I'm back. Reason I had to check was my old man died a while back and now I've got his. Here goes 1 16 gauge Browning semi(called rabbit getter), a 12 and a 10 gauge double barreled shotguns, my 410, a 22 semi with a long barrel mostly for squirrels(Dad's), I use a 22 cal Remington targetmaster single shot, if you can shoot you don't need the 2nd round. Pistols the old man gave me his single action 22 mag, one of those cheap german made guns with a cylinder that converts to short, long or long rifle. Then there's my personal sidearm a 38 special Colt Diamondback double action. Sorry I forgot the 35 cal Remington lever action deer rifle, 7mm Mauser(war trophy) and 6mm Jap rifle also a war trophy.

I have a Combat Infantry Badge, a Bronze Star w/ V device, 2 Arcom's with with V device and Oak leaf clusters. I also a Expert badge for M14,16, 60, 72, 79.

Do you have any training at all other than money to buy a gun?

These weapons are just to dangerous to let anyone with money and know training to possess them.

Dead in the head Hank H, isn't that what you call normal people?

Come on y'll heap on the neg rep show's I'm right. Love the name calling by the simple.

they are for sure going to try and reimplent the AWB so that means all semi auto AK and AR varients are on the chopping block...so stock up on AR lowers and 80% stripped lowers.

Also gonna be looking at high cap magazines so say good bye to the 50-100 round beta mags and possibly even the 30 round GI mags....another thing you can buy dozens of at gun shows and just stash them somewhere. forget about stashing them you should be buying gold and silver not certificates real gold and sillver cause no matter what the government can't touch that its actul value in weight

the most important thing is the grandfather clause.....if there is no grandfather clause than the government will have to offer monetary compensation for taking back firearms, but in reality i bet most gun owners will NOT give their guns back, simply claim them stolen or lost and hide them somewhere... i find this ironic how you mention monetary compensation like they owe you something , here?? How about this hand in the weapons or face a mandatory 5 years in state PEN what a better way to control its citizens FEMA ring a bell ???? yup so the citizens don;t gather and go after the government from a out of control taxation policy ???

Isn't it funny how these new assault rifles look like GI Joe toys? Not something the police or Army would use but movie/video game guns. I love teasing my friends who throw down all that money on dangerous toys they barely know how to use. They think they are bad asses. Because they have the money to throw away on these weird ass looking toys. Dress up like cartoon ninjas and shoot up a school full of babies. But don't y'll worry nothing will come of this. You can keep your silly little useless toys to play. Can't even shoot at a decent range with them. Totally useless except for SWATeams or urban military work. It's not much fun shooting at the broad side of a barn from 50 meters. Back it up a bit say 350 to 400 meters and see what you could hit with iron sites. You know like a man can. No scopes, lasers whatever. Learn to really shoot and handle a rifle. Then you will get rid of your little toys that aren't worth a damn.

84 million hunters would make up a formidable opponent to any army...but some say there is a conspiracy going on of arming nuts with assault arms and then electronically or chemically making them go of causing these situations...

Again. My SCAR-H is FDE color so it looks like a toy. It is in tour call of duty game so I've been told. Its an "assault" rifle. But I bought it because it is the most accurate semi auto .308 rifle made. It's very expensive. I shoot it almost every weekend at steel targets out to 550 meters. Why does me having this gun make you less safe? Notice the man in China that slashed over 29 students last week . Or how about the bus crash that kilter 22 students last month. Yes dead kids is tragic. No gun controls won't help.

The AWB wont help a bit. I was able to get boxed ak's, russian or chinese when i was in high school 92-96 and on. Guns will be sold legal or not......im sure the black market would love the AWB.

Always good to know a Borris.

I hate to sound like a big conspiracy theorist, but does anybody wonder if this kid was possibly doped with something into doing this? My explanation for all these massacres is that it just could not be a better opportunity for the govt to grab the excuses they can to strip more rights away fom us.

For sure something is going to happen real soon. I think the Newton shooting is the launchpad for the gun-control people to really take off. Already, politicians are moving quick on this.

You shot coyotes? why? they pest in your area? Only excuse. And please just because you've killed a unarmed k-9 from 550 meters you could kill a soldier. The coyote if you miss or injury will not drop to cover send some of his pack around to flank your position and take you down. Ponder that as you squeeze the trigger. Hunters cannot grasp combat. There is know risk just a miss.

You will not be the one defending our republic, we will defend it from the likes of you. We will defend it using our organized militia as the constitution reads. Or as we call it today the National Guard. Remember at Lexington and Concord they didn't use private firearms but the militia stores in the towns. That's what the red coats were after. Not private guns. Read a little American history. They teach it in schools.

Gee I love correcting the right wing. So easy ain't it? You're welcome!!! :tiphat:

I really love fucking with them don't I Pinball? They should have been in the Nam with us, huh?

Y'll know what Pinball's problem is? He and I were in the same ID in the Nam, so we think alot alike. go figure.

Oh yeah they gave me a drug to think like this it be call reefer, pot, due, hemp, whatever. What's your excuse?

I think that you're off-base, Hank. As I said before, I have no use for the Mattel guns, but I know a lot of people that like them. And yes, coyotes are a pest pretty much wherever you find them - I never took you for a city boy. The AR's are no more of a problem than M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, or any of the other re-purposed military weapons. The government used to avidly spread these around amongst the civilian population in order to have a better prepared populace to tap into. In fact, they are still available through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (see link). The problem is that we have a pervasive sickness spreading throughout humanity, not that "assault weapons" are available - hell, they've been available for 200+ years.

Yes they are a pest here. Cops had to shoot one attacking some kids in a back yard a few weeks ago here. I'm not sure what your getting at with the whole coyote don't shoot back comment.

In case you havnt noticed the federal government has been usurped by an international banking cartels. They will have controls of the federal military including the national guard.

If you noticed the founders ordained the congress with the power to raise a standing army as well as directed Tue states to keep and maintain organized militia. 2 separate animals. National guard is not militia. That is a line you gun grabbers use to justify your ludicrous stance .
