Got Jalapeno Jack Herer... any other chili pepper strains?

So, I have had citrus-y Jack Herer before and liked it a lot. Recently I got some Jack Herer from a local dispensary that smells and tastes like fresh cut jalapeno peppers (minus any capsaicin). Thought it when i first opened the jar, and still think so smelling it now a month later.

I had long ago first heard of 'peppery' cannabis, but always thought that meant black pepper...

Is this a known phenotype for Jack Herer? I've seen pepper mentioned in connection to it, but always thought that meant black pepper.

Or as big of a question, are there other Chili pepper flavoured strains?

searching on leafly came up with just a couple references to jalapeno with people talking about flavours of strains.

It made me dream of habanero strain...

funny I just tasted something the donor said was called ??? something> pepper.. He didn't know and I will investigate further but it does have a tangy aftertaste leaving my mouth tingly and the high was very nice too.. I'd conceder growing it.. whatever it is.. that's in florida.. unknown source at this time.

just wanted to follow up that I picked up another batch of Jack Herer from the same dispensary. This one is less distinctly jalapeno-y, but the jalapeno flavour is still there but more of a spice flavour in addition to that.

This sounds interesting. I love peppers but haven't come across a strain that I felt distinctly reminded me of them. Would love to see some more suggestions.

Dark angel from crop king is very peppery. The bud on most phenos is very fluffy but if you can find the dark green leaf pheno the bud is not as bad, still fluffier than I would like but it's marketable and defiantly the most distenctive peppery smell and taste I have ever tried

it's very likely.. I personally think when people refer to pepper the majority of the time it's black pepper

but you have delta-3-carene that is present in both cannabis and bell peppers.

it has a slight citrus smell, I've been growing hot peppers for a while, for example good habaneros have a very citrusy smell and even taste.
