got a super deal need ideas on odor control

Well not sure if this should be in this area but I got a bad ass scrubber for 20 bucks today and a 6 in. Fan if it matters its a 2foot by 12.5 inches phresh filter and sun light supply 6 inch 340cfm fan. My idea was to hook up the fan to a controler to adjust the speed(mainly the sound) this bitch sounds like a damn jet in my shead. But was wondering can I kill 2 birds with one stone and hook up the filter to the fan and run it thru my light then out side. Keeping in mind my shead is next to the neighbors fence when it on at night I think the aliens can hear it(may just be me sketchin) "cause I dnt grow dope" just smoke it SOME TIMES.. lol less they know the best( kinda people that think since you grew it it was free) so sound is a issue not the funk but is 340 cfm enough to push stanky super sour deisel air thru a light and out side? B4 I start cutting the side of my shead up and pissin off the wife...any info would be awsome

your setup should be

filter with fan pulling through filter with flexible ducting to your hood vent. Run flexible out the other vent and exhaust where you please.

next step is absolutely crucial

test the setup for light leaks. if light leaks in your venting then smell will go out and your filter is worthless

The light leak passed thru my head also except that didn't dawn on me I was figurin that I would have to use a liquid nails or caluking on my intake and exaust since I'm in a aluminum shead no real suport to hold the angled vents in place except the flex tube or ridigd havnt decided what would work best... and the filter I got is a beast its 2 foot tall and 1 foot wide is the full 340 cfm necesary or would a fan speed controller be best to slow the draw thru? Wouldn't that make the stank air come in contact with the carbon longer there for making it more effective? And less noisy or am I wrong? Cause this damn thing is loud at night I live in a basicaly quite apt building at night anyways... also this beast is way over kill for 4 plants I belive never had one of these b4 so I'm pretty lost when it comes to the odor side of growing.. I just lit camp fires at night to cover the funk last round
