got a couple newb questions

This will be my first time and i have a few questions.
I will be using well water and i have a way to test the ph, but i do not have anything to test ppm so what would be a starting point to guess on how much to feed my plants when using GH and Lucas formula? Also i could not find much info on about how often to feed? would it be something like this- feed, water, water, feed? the plants will be in soilless metro mix with some perlite mixed in. Here is some info on the room i have. a 4x4 tent, 400 watts hps, temps are 85-75 and the humidity has been about 40%, the largest pots the plants will be in are 2 gal smart pots.

i don't have a ppm meter either. water, feed, water, feed. i would give half of whatever it say. then slowly use full strenght of what they recommend. gets some pics up

Thanks for the help. I will get some pics up when i get em going.. messing with the room trying to get the atmosphere right then get em going. 85 is as low as im going to get the temp at.. i was worried about burning em not knowing the pph of my water.

u won't burn it. use qtr strenght. first. then bump it up a qtr everytime u feed.

Could you sieve the water through a filter of some description to remove the crap that comes out of the well?

Alternatively do you have a hydro store or aquarium supply shop nearby; they can often test the water for you, often free of charge?

Got Dank offers good advice. Without a ppm meter I would thoroughly recommend starting at least half the recommended strength and work up to the full dose and certainly alternate between feed and plain water.

Is the humidity reading with the lights on or off? Be sure to measure both.

Thanks for all the replies.. i have tested the ph and it comes out about 6 ~7.. so just go easy on the nutes and sould be good, right? Thanks....
