Gorilla grow 10 x 20 feet

Hi all,

I have a 18 by 22 feet garage. I been thinking to buy a gorilla tent 10 by 20 feet instead of rebuilding the whole thing and buy a smaller tent for vegging. I live in Los Angeles, CA, my garage is not really insulated so it get super hot in there.

Have anyone used these tents? how durable are they? Do they keep the smell in? Are there any problems with them as far as getting mold, pm etc... when using there tents?

Thank you,

I'm sure someone else will chime in but..

I haven't use the 10x20's, however I did use the 10x10's.

If your garage is already hot.. Good luck.

The problem with tents (I personally find) is they are great for concealing smell and not having to do construction to build a room.

However, you buy a big tent you naturally cram a shit pile of lights into it. Less square footage since you have limited height especially when you add in plants and equipment, means the bastards heat up much faster than a full sized room. Running outta headroom was always an issue when I ran tents and hydro, unless you train or grow smaller plants.

I'm sure someone else will say otherwise, but Personally I would insulate the garage and board it up. Put it a proper AC unit that will support your wattage and grow size. If you cant control the heat outside the tent your paddling upstream.

Mold is a Humidity issue, or and issue with someone not knowing wtf is up.. Tents have nothing to do with it.

They do keep the smell in yes.

Best of luck.

Thanks for advise!

How many lights did you have in your tent? What kind of lights did you use?

I am assuming Gavidas would be to strong for the room?

Thanks,

id run leds if u can haha or get a split ac from Samsung, most the time u can build a room for cheaper than a tent, just draw up a blueprint of your room and figure out the number of 2x4s and then wrap it with 10 mil polar plastic and button caps like they use on roofing underlayrment, I built a 16x10 for way less than 1000 bucks

*** if its super hot insulate it with foam board from home depot or whatever and put your split 10 ton outside of the room or build a box for it with a vent hole for the heat. your looking at a good chunk of change for a split a/c $3k. I would build a veg room and a flower room with a split a/c hooked up for the flower and like a window unit for the veg venting outside and then still have intakes and outtakes for flower(flower intakes from the walls (not the roof too hot) and outtakes scrubbed and vented out the top of the garage. Then have a big ac cooling the garage and seal the piss out of the garage (doors and cracks in walls etc) with great stuff (expanding foam).....So vent/exhaust both rooms with a split a/c for flower and window unit for veg and a 12,000 btu ac for the garage in general

its 60 at night where I'm at and I have 2 digi 1000w and a digi 6 (solistek and igrow 1000) and galaxy 600w and I have a 10in intake 12in outtake with a 12000 btu stand alone a/c running and it just gets to about 73-75 in a basement so your gonna need some serious cooling power in LA in a garage. Take the time to make a plan and build it yourself and use the rest of the flow for a/c and dope equipment. How many lights are you trying to run if you don't mind me asking??
