A multi-billion dollar, data-mining, company... that's well known for their advanced knowledge with software and all things internet...

Wants me to pay them... to put their computerized web appliance, behind my private firewall/router?

:laughing::moon::laughing:

On principal alone... it's a bad idea. Throw in the "Do No Harm(TM)" and it's a solid lock for me. LOL

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I know, but their £1k model is nice. Highest density pixel screen available on a laptop device they are claiming. I suppose you only have to wait 6 months for someone to beat them.

I was thinking of buying the cheap one, but running it on T.A.I.L.S. or Liberte Linux.
But I can get a regular Acer laptop for not much more so fuck Google creepiness.

Cloud computing is something that is unsuitable for people who will use the computer to research and/or document something that is a crime.

I don't think that cloud computing on its face is bad for many other things though. It's only going to get more and more popular and there's no going back.

My personal preference is that I still like having my own hardware, and that's regardless of whether I grow or not.
