Good strain to use 12/12 from seed

In my last grow, i put one plant to start direct 12/12 from seed, its a feminised power plant from dutch passion.
She doing very good, not the bigest bud in comparition with my others 4 weeks vegged plants. but its nice.
Im growing again, and doing a 12/12 from seed again (when my vegged plants its going to flower).
I want opinions in what (feminised) strain to use.

any one with good idea?

Yes you can bypass the veging cycle but the end product will be fluffy and you will loose on weight. Thats the reason why the buds were not big... Just veg for 1 week or so... and flip to bud. rly no matter what strain you use when you bypass veg you are not going to have the same results..

pmorris, i know this, im put one plant 12/12 from seed as a experiment, and to have diferent strain in my grow.
now i have 8 plants in veg, but when they come to flower i start a nu seed direct 12/12.
just want a idea ina good strain to do a good finish.
i know is a pure indica is no good, and 100% sativa
has very long flowering. i need a opinion.
power plant doing good , very good.

Most strains won't even start flowering until 3 weeks or so at the earliest. And as i'm sure you know, the yield and density will suffer alot. Most people only put plants directly into flowering when they are almost pure sativa, because this makes them stay short. What exactly is the reason why your putting them into flowering so early? I'd recommend a strain that is able to start flowering early, like c99. I've heard c99 can start flowering as early as 2 weeks old. And your in luck, since their are two companies who make female c99 seeds (gn and female seeds). I personally don't have any experience with fem seeds, i tend to stay away from fem seeds as they can go hermie very easily. Good luck though and let me know if you need any more help.

IMO lowryders are pointless. Their potency is pretty damn low, and the yield is horrible. You can get a much better yield and potency, by growing a small plant using lst in a small pot, and you could keep it about the same height (maybe a tiny bit taller). I don't think he's restricted to 12" grow height, so lowryder isn't the best option.

thanks SweetIndica, the reason is only have one more flavor in my garden, and a pre test to next grow (veg/flower)with the same strain.
I know about little yield, but its only one plant , not the entire grow. its for fun.
i recomend that. its easy and very pleasant.

Tommy, im not sure this seeds have a feminised option.

c99 is good SweetIndy, and in my research , the FMS Grapefruit is in the list to.
i place my order at next friday, difficult to have my choice.

Female seeds grapefruit would be the female I'd start on 12/12,I've read folks doing this and still ending with a 4 ft plant.Its a cross of cindy 99 and a sativa,so its got the genes for a 12 hour start

back in the day on overgrow, i remember atmosphere1 was using NLxshiva for his 12/12 grows in his "12/12 immediately" thread. from the pics, the strain looked badass...one big ~2ft cola. might wanna try them.

im gonna give the 12/12 from seed a go with the mango x bubblegum freebie i got from seedbay. the mango is a 70-90 sativa from what i hear. hope it works out.

for a comparition, in the left is a power plant vegged about 4 weeks, and in the right other power plant, but the same pheno (thanks god and DP) going 12/12 from seed. She start at the same time the PP ends a veg fase and start to flowering.




i get 4 PPs , 2 are the same phenos , one look like a skunk #1 (i see in this forum) the other plant make a few little bananas (3 or 4)in the lower buds in the end of a flowering. its soooo good,ease to control and give me 12 seeds.
One of this seeds is going in my current grow.

and about the nu strain to put 12/12?
please, mo ideas.

Camel I've seen plants put through the ringer before to determine sex but your plan bro tops them all hands down.Your plant is going to grow for about 3 or 4 weeks on 12/12 before it shows sex,and a good bit of the time a plant will normally show preflowers after that long under 18/6.You're going to put the plant through all those changes and then want to use it as a mother,its not a good idea man.I've seen plants and their cuttings get mutated too many times when you play around with light cycles like that.Bottom line is once a plant has been under 12/12,I would never use it as a mother or a perpetual strain

Matagal, I'm fascinated by those side-by-side photos! I've been going 12/12 from seed for several grows now, and I thought I was satisfied with the results, but your photos are making me question my judgment.

The reason many people give for going 12/12 from seed is so that height can be controlled. However, the 12/12 plant has grown slightly taller than the plant with four weeks of veg. So what you ended up with when you went 12/12 from seed was a plant that was just as tall, but much less dense and heavy.

Looking at your two photos, it's hard to argue for the 12/12 from seed approach.

I still like 12/12 from seed, though, because I always get single-cola plants that are fairly thin, and it helps me pack in more plants for a sea of green. Also, it's much simpler for me to run my one cabinet at 12/12, because I don't like my cabinet running when I'm not around. Still, though, you've got me thinking...

the two plants have the exact same size.
the 12/12 plant grow fast, stop at the same size of the other veg plant and start buding, only one
central bud, no branching.
The other brantches a lot more, and more more fat, but at the exact same size.
this especific power plant pheno doing good in 12/12 from seed. is my more sativa pheno in 3 dif plants.
size is not problem in my grow.

but a little leafy.



Because that i grow this style again.


nl x grapefruit sounds good.

hey if you dont wanna do lowryder and want a quick veg/flowerer, i'd have to say a hybrid leaning on sativa side, possibly some sort of skunk. I grow a super skunk but its very indica, i am sure there are more sativa phenos. The lemon kush i grow is sativaish and vegs 1 or 2 weks and is great yield.

I recommend a skunk cross or kush cross on sativa side
