good stoner careers?

I find that anything i work hard at i generally excel at. my original plan out of HS, or maybe my parents plan, was for me to become an engineer of sorts. that sounded fun and all if perhaps i some how snagged a job in robotics, but it seems more likely ill end up designing a better carberator for johndeers model 3380 tracter or some shit. i want to make good to above average money, and like i said im open for anything, and did extremely well in physics and math during HS and my brief stint at a university(before realizing i wasnt prepared to decide what i was going to do for the rest of my life). graphic design seems interesting, and im already extremely well versed in the 2d programs such as photoshop. i enjoy building things, drawing, etc anything that offers a sense of accomplishment. doing something in the film industry interests me aswell but have no clue what my options would be there. MOST importantly is for the majority of the rest of my life im going to have a small farm in a hidden room somewhere in my house. in a perfect world i probably would devote my life to growing and selling the best marijuana out there but alas.. so im curious what you guys do for work??

career? well I want to become a criminal lawyer just because I think it's cool. I"ve also thought about doing something like forensics like CSI stuff.

probably not top stoner jobs.....

I think the ultimate stoner job would be having my own television show, like a late night talk show.

I don't believe there is a perfect "stoner career" over here. We've all been looking for it. Chances are better in Europe. Every smoker out of HS has the dream of finding a marijuana related job, but like all of us, you're gonna have to go for a regular job.

Well, I know HT pretty much sucks now, but I met Chris Simunek back in 95. He gets paid to fly around the world, smoke a lot of pot and write stories about it. And sometimes interview pothead celebrities. That sounds like an okay stoner job, doesn't it? I wonder how you apply?

my dream job or career or life, whatever, would be to work at a cannabis club or run one, that would be the bomb, I would make it a very pleasant and cool place to hang out and enjoy the meds :D

I think that California, with its medpot law, allows designated providers for patients who can't/won't grow there own. So if you moved out to California you could probably at least grow it legally.

Yeah I've wanted to at least do that on the side for a long time now... probably is, rent is expensive...and yadda yadda yadda. I know it is possible but it seems like there are a thousand roadblocks, in my case. maybe i'll get out there someday.

With a bit of networking, you could probably grow some extra and sell to the various pot stores they have set up to supply all the folks with medpot cards.

I find most computer programming can be done as well/better while high. As far as a job, you can either end up being a corporate schmuck or you can start your own company and work for yourself.

Definately anything where you own your own company is the IDEAL stoner job. I know pretty many small bussiness owners who toke, prolly more than most other careers.

If I was a head, I wouldn't:
Drive a truck,
Be a cop,
be a firefighter
or a jet pilot.

Anything else is up to you,

Well see the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of ideal stoner jobs, are jobs in which one would be able to handle and use marijuana openly but the jobs that fit that catagory are very few and far between.

Now prior to the practice of random urinalysis I would have said virtually any job could be an ideal stoner job jus so long as the hours fit your lifestyle and/or the job was very fullfilling on a personal level somehow. I say that because a majority of stoners seem to have a need to express themselves which is why marijuana and artists are no strangers.

With the way things are today virtually the only way one can have a career and be a stoner is to be self employeed since so many companies now practice drug testing.

Really though one must define what it means to be a stoner. Is a stoner merely someone who enjoys relaxing with some fine herb? Or is it someone who over indulges so much they can't control when they smoke or how toasted they get? If the former then still any line of work you enjoy and are good at, provided you have a way around the testing issue because you don't have to be under the influence on the job to be a stoner. If more the latter then I don't know, trash pick up maybe? :D

Philosophy Professor or perhaps a Poet or a Musician of some sort.....

Glass Blower would be a nice and possibly well rewarding stoner job.

Other than that, I probably would like to work at a nursery or head shop. But working at a security company works fine for now.
