ive delt with mcmaster carr before.. they are great if you are into the advanced hydro stuff like..

solenoid topoff of resevoirs from an RO system.. all it takes is an RO system with a 1/4" solenoid valve from mcmaster and a topoff controller.. under a hundred bucks worth of stuff after the RO system and you will never have to manually topoff or fill your res again.

Before I had auto topoff this was the sad scene:

An RO system fed into this trash can which constantly got slimey no matter how often I cleaned it. When i needed to fill or topoff the res I would plug in a pump in the can and uncoil that hose and the pump wasnt very powerful so it took a while.. big ass pain.. and when the can filled that float valve left the entire RO system pressurized which leads to TDS creep (eventual RO system failure).

Now there is only an RO system, a solenoid, and a 1/4" line going right into the res. I cant help but think the RO water is better for the plants when its fresh. No slimey smelly trash can water.. and the R.O. system is completely depressurized since the solenoid valve is at the inlet to the RO machine.

for dosing pumps, high quality tubing (like CO2 proof), and a barage of other useful toys.. check um out
