Good but inexpensive pH meters?

I'm looking to buy a pH meter here really soon. I don't want to spend a whole lot but i also don't want something that is going to be inaccurate or break in a couple of weeks.

Any recommendations?

What do you guys use?

How much should i plan on spending for a decent meter?

I just received a "Captive Purity "portable ph meter from Marine Depot.com. It was under 60$shipped. I had to calibrate the meter so don't forget the .95$ calibration solution.

Well I use the cheap Wallmart tester for the soil, and when it gets outta whack I return it I go thru about 2 or 3 a year.
I use the GH PH test kit for the water.

I use the GH test liquid, its very accurate and easy to use.

I bought the Milwaukee series back then it was Ph51 for the ph meter T-75 for the PPM pen. They have rested comfortably now in their respective boxes for a few years now, batteries probably rusted in..It was interesting though, but not worth the 150 bucks I spent on them.My tapwater was around 400PPM,a teaspoon of tiger bloom around 450 yadda yadda.I've found with soil grows for me anyway dolomite lime in the soil mix and General Hydroponics Ph test kit to be all thats needed.

I promptly broke this ph meter. It has a glass bulb on the end which is VERY fragile. I wouldn't suggest it to anybody.

Oakton ultra basic waterproof for about $60. Guaranteed for a year and work excellent.I have three Hanna 98129,s sitting on the shelf that won,t work...
One hanna did last me two yrs but it was very touchy needing calibration frequently. The Oakton takes about 10 seconds to cal.
I think GH puts these out as I seen them on their website.
