Good A-dam Hotel

B

bcell

I traveling to Amsterdam for one weekend in early June. Any suggestions? I am looking for a good clean place close to central A-dam. Hoping to keep it close to 100 a night Euro.

Thanks

You can try Amsterdam College Hotel and Eden Hotel (bestwestern). Good luck and have fun.

I booked throught this site
http://www.medialink.nl/amsterdam/

I was in Amsterdam from the 17-22 April 2006 and I stayed at the Quentin hotel which is around the corner from the Leidseplein.
Cost me 42 euros a night and is very clean comfortable, pleasant, and in a great location.

100 euro a night is a lot for a hotel.

and quite a few others.

35 eur a night, in a very good central location, clean and cool, but remember to book early, even 2 months in advance.

Who wants to pay 100 eur or more, when the only time you're going to see your hotel is late at night, completely stoned? :D

Hotel Utopia  cheap and nasty...:D

How bad it is? Price is really good so we were considering Utopia instead of some hostel. And how is their coffeeshop btw? :joint:

Utopia isnt nasty at all, its just how you look at it...good location, nice owners, some good hash downstairs, the rooms arent that nice but theyre not lousy like in Mexico...lol......

Utopia is fine if you're not picky :D

Let's say that it was fine for me, my missus would have liked it a little cleaner :biglaugh:

I think I might have just been unlucky. How was your room FJ? :chin:

The utopia is Real good Just stayed there recently .... Obviously you get what you pay for ... but for me nothing beats breakfast with a spliff of some good quality hashes

Rooms as everyone has said are the minimum : Tv /Beds/sink and a toilet on each floor but Good location right near the square and many other coffeshops and attraction ....
Plus its cheap
(god I sound like im the new owner trying to get in business! lol :)

Peace

Hehe, ok.. thanks everyone. Utopia sounds good enough to stay in then, especially quality hash right downstairs sounds great :yummy:

Last summer we had room at Hotel Aspen and it kinda sucked, shower was barely usable and no breakfast..

Well, first off our telly didn't have a remote, generally that ain't that bad, but the volume buttons on our telly were missing and it was on full volume when you turned it on making it unusable. Then there was the bedsheet, well not the bedsheet the daycover that was over the top, that was covered in milky stains, we all know what that'll be  There was still joint buts in the ashtray, that, the bedspread, and the empty crisp packets and ashtrays under the bed made us come to the conclusion that the room hadn't been cleaned at all before our arrival.
And the toilet on our floor wasn't lockable....

Saying that, for just €25 a night I'd stay there again, my missus wouldn't though :D
