what hood should i use? its 7ft tall, should i go with a 1000w or will a 400w be fine?

wow 35 people looked at this and cant recommend anything?? For the hood i was thinking bout getting a parabolic hood then cutting the top to fit my cool tube thru so it will be air cooled.
I just cant decide on whether to go with a 1000w or just use the 400w lumatek i already have??

noooo parabolic, horrible waste of light! the bulb hangs vertica, over 50% of it isn't even reflecting off the hood but going sideways, and the light that is reflected is largely wasted because of the design of the reflector...
imo a 1k would be better for a 4'x4' though

Well I picked up the terrarium today,I think I'm gonna start In on It next weekend tho too busy today I also need to get some supplies for It.
well got that pain in the ass to remove display and got a temporary 400w light hung i still need to line the Plexiglas with mylar set up the ventilation and make the scrog out of chicken wire,i decided to go with a 600w hps for it with a cooltube i hope i see some decent results
its not yet i just got it today im going to line the clear Plexiglas with mylar and seal all the cracks and crevices with silicone also planing to build an air box on top that will also serve as a light trap,when im done with it could be a giant vacum sealed jar.
A 4 foot circle has an area of 12.56 sq ft. At the 50 watt minimum, that calls for 628 watts. A 1K would be 80 watts per sg ft.
If that were mine, it would be a two-tier cool tube w/2 400wCMH/HPS (two levels of plants)

its actually 6.5ft tall and 4.5ft round i have a spare 400w i could add to the 600w?

definitely more heat running a 400 and 600 if you can take care of heat might be a better combo spectrum mh/hps than running a 1000.may br run the 400 and 600 for veg and 1 st 2 weeks of flowering,then run the 1000 i dunno.if you govert lost the hood and run a fan in middle,have some passive intake low and outake out the top.
I think I'll give maintaining a diary a shot once i have all the materials to get it all together and running.
the frame is aluminum 1" square,the bottom is wood with a very beefy frame.
the whole thing is screwed together each Plexiglas panel comes off,then the top then the alum frame then that's it. Its pretty simple in design There Is 4 total 1" square tubes with L brackets that secure them to the top and bottom and the panels connect from the top wood to the base and up and down the alum frame
