Golden Tiger thai question..

Hey fellas, were there ever 2 different Thai's used in the GT ? I thought I read not too far back that different thai's had been used in making, or remaking the GT. Could someone tell me the difference, if any, of all the GT releases, and what is currently being used to make the beans that are currently available at all the banks. Thanks IBA

Golden Tiger standard version available for the past 2-3 years is a mix of straight killer malawi with hmong thai. It was a bit diverse in phenos, ranging from malawi phenos to very thaish expressions and phenos inbetween.

We have just harvested new Golden Tiger standard stock coming from new selections with the strain, it's also killer malawi/hmong thai but selecting towards the phenos with early/moderate flowering time and better indoor adaptability: more on the malawi side.
This is the Golden Tiger standard stock that will be available for the upcoming years.
The very long flowering thai phenos that didn't work well indoors were avoided in this new reproduction.

The femininized version available from 2013 till now is Double Thai (Koh Chang Thai/Hmong Thai) x killer malawi, it's the best Golden Tiger version we have offered by now. There are only a few packs left of this great stock, highly recommended.

I'm working right now to produce more feminized stock, i will be able to comment more about the new fem release around January of 2015.
