Gold label Special Mix 60/40

Hi,

Received two bags of Gold Label Special mix, 60%coco 40%clay.

Cant really find any decent info on the product. Is it possible to use this in regular pots, handwatering? Or is this mainly a hydro thing?

Starting a new grow in a few weeks. Been using only some second grade market soil up to now. And one run with a Wilma 8 with hydroton pebbles. I think the Wilma setup would love this Gold Label stuff, but I want to try a organic soil grow first. Or soilless if the Gold label works?

Why do people buy this shit if they don't know how to use it?

Didn´t buy it. Left overs from a friend. Used it in a DYI recurc dripfeed with good results. So why do people comment on a newbie forum with nothing to say?

Seems like alot of clay in there. A good organic mix would run about 5-10% clay. Clay seems to help with peat moss's aversion to water. If I were to use it I would mix it with peat, perlite, compost and at least some dolomite lime.
