stayed at a 5 star hotel, everything i needed was there, bell hop and lifeguard took care of my business...
i even asked my 70 year old cabbie from the airport, he flipped open his glove box and had some nice stash.
yak is cheap too if you like to sniffle a bit..

Watch out for the Federalis, they'll try and sell you weed for cheap then extort you for staying out of jail.
Be very careful is you see any cop or fed around... their turf, and that includes the shit you buy from their dealers... You ain't in Kansas.
Also, make sure they don't know where you are staying and always score small amounts of whatever you buy... don't let them think you are loaded... needless to say what might happen next.

Yeah everyone has the bud there lol but it seriously SUCKS lol.. hopefully you will get a good score.. If you do get it stay in your room and smoke it even if the cops come to the door don't let them in don't open the door just stay in your room .. Thats the rule of thumb there.. never really saw the appeal of going to cancun. I love to travel, and there are so many places I want to go, but if I die never having been to cancun...or all of mexico, it won't even phase me.
For the whole "party" atmosphere you get with spring break, I'd rather go to fantasy festival in florida, or Mardi Gras in the N.O. Even though those are not during the actuall "college" spring break.
on the other hand...if we're just talking about warm tropical places anywhere in the carribean would be a much better choice IMO. I've been to the bahamas before with an ex gf... loved it there. would love to go back... also to jamaica, and any other of the carribean islands. I know cancun is close enough to be considered as part of the carribean by some but still...the countries in the actuall caribean are cleaner, safer, can drink the water, some of the most crystal clear blue water in the world.
anyways..just my $.02 have a good trip man.

a guy i used to work with went to jamaica and the bellhop got him an OZ for $45 US...Then he found an 1/8 in the dresser haha.
then another guy i worked with at a differnt place said when he went to puerto ricco, he asked for a jack and coke (the mix drink) but instead they gave him a shot of jack and a line of coke. don't know if its true or not, but would be a nice surprise.

I'd rather get extorted than go to jail... foreign or domestic. You get caught with drugs in the US.... theres a LOT less likely chance you'll have the option to bribe your way out of it.

Dude, you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not really that big on Cancun but it's clean, relatively safe and the water is fine to drink in resort areas. It's considered part of the carribean and the water is just as blue , warm and crystal clear. There is no way in hell that Jamaica is any better or safer in terms of crime. Be careful and respectful of locals and police there and you'll be fine. Act like a drunk asshole and you may have problems.
One BIG difference for me is that I can spearfish in Mexico but not in the bahamas. There are many other Mexican cities that are not big resort cities that are fantastic, interesting, beautiful places and in my experience most Mexican people outside of resort areas are very friendly, generous, honest and interested in gringos. Can you tell I love Mexico?

yeah seems like ya love it. Thats fine, Just offering my opinon. I know that the tourist areas are generally cleaner/safer than other areas (that holds true for most conutries), but I don't care what anyone says... I'd still buy bottled water in mexico, and I'd still choose the caribbean over mexico anytime.
cancun has changed drastically over the last couple of years, and not for the better imo. two months ago, a close friend and his family were pulled over by the policia as they were headed to the airport for the flight home. he along with wife and kids were shook down for all cash in their possession. federales are afraid to shake down thugs these days and tourists are a far easier mark. mexico is bloody today. it would not be a vaca destination for me.
and btw, headband 707 is correct on herb quality. one would think that far south into the country there would be good smoke, or at least it would be fresh? not a chance. it is the same shitty brick you would get in kearney, nebraska. maybe worse? peace-biteme
