God's Gift smoke report

A great strain to smoke during the evening, this would be near ideal for getting home from work and relaxing to make/eat dinner. I really enjoyed the flavor of this one a lot, however it didnt burn well which makes one wonder if the taste could be improved even moreso.

When burning this it had a dark black ash color to it and often took several attempts to snap a bowl, wouldnt hold a cherry at all. I dont think this would be suitable for joints from the sample I had, however if it was flushed a bit better it may burn cleaner and quicker, allowing it to be a perfect choice for a joint. It has a texture that is the most friendly of all the purple varieties I have encounterd. They are often very dense and the calyx themselves are a like rocks that make it harder to burn. This still has some thick calyx formation on it but the majority of the texture is very light, most people could break this up for a joint in one hand.

The flavor is like that of pk and erkle together, it has a fruity floral taste that is heavier than that of the erkle, and lacks the musky component that is stronger in the PK. There is a slight skunky spice to it that is really apparent when you smell it from a distance as that is the first that hits your nose.

I noticed while smoking it that the tolerance level slightly increased towards the end of smoking it, but not as dramatic as many of the other purple varieties. I found that two or three bowls of this would provide me with good back pain relief and a calming effect that leads to a cloudy thought process and finally sleep if you overdo it.

Comment: Light pale green color to the nugs with 50% of the leaf and calyx being purple in color. The purple is a brilliant bright color, not a royal purple or deep color as many purples have. average to low amount of leaf on this one, can smoke it right outta the jar without much if any leaf removal.

Comment: Good coating on the calyx, the fan leaves are void of trichomes and smaller sugar leaves are lightly dusted with milky white trichomes

Comment: One of the best purple smells to date, very similiar to erkle and PK. if you like a little sweet floral/fruit smell to your herb this easily beats the erkle and PK in odor department. Very very strong smell, will stink up an enclosed area in little to no time.

Comment: Great flavor here, like a fruity light berry yougort. Some people say it tastes like pebbles cereal, it has that dank fruit flavor, very similar to erkle but more of a clean fruit taste, not as musky as the PK.

comment: Perfect dryness, not crumbly and not moist.

Comment: Burns pretty bad, the ash is totally black without any grey, it often takes a few tries to burn through a regular sized bowl that you would pull in one rip.

Comment: Very stable in the lungs, doesnt have much expansion and leaves a great fruity aftertaste on the exhale.

Comment: A good slow building high, works better if you smoke it over a period of time rather than in rapid succession, comes down lightly if it doesnt put you to sleep outright.

comment: Average creeper to this, you feel the effects in about five minutes with a peak coming about 15 minutes into it, smoking this over a half hour timeframe would give you effects that taper off in an hour or so.

comment: Slight up buzz initialy but quickly turns to a lazy indica feeling that can put you out!

comment: Good, solid, flavorful smoke. I would use this to fill up joints daily if it was grown a bit better in terms of how well it burns. Excellent overall taste and moderate stone.

George, I hear ya on that I try to only sample varieties that match up to what I have seen or grown personally, this way I have a better likelihood of getting the correct genetics to give an accurate report on.

GR33NL1ON, thanks bro, I agree with ya its about as close to the erkle in appearance as you can get. the only subtle differences I can tell are the brilliant color of the purple, its much brighter in person than any erkle ive ever seen/grown, and there is a bit less resin output as a properly grown erkle would have. Once you break it open however, there is a fruity component that is sweet and spicy, that coupled with the softer texture really set it apart from the others imo.
