I have been struggling to eradicate the fungus gnats from my coco coir medium. I grow commercially, and I am currently at a point where I only have my mothers in a small room, so I figure it is a good opportunity to attack these things, and try to knock them out. I am about to give up completely, and just deal with them using sticky traps. I have tried many things. I bought a large bucket of gnatrol, and have been trying different application methods without too much success. Recently I decided to mix med to strong strength in with my nutrients. It seems to cause ph to rise. Also I noticed it says not to use with anything containing copper. I figured the small amount of copper in nutes may not be an issue, but thought I would bring it up. It may be a false reading of some type because I get different readings on the ph pen vs the ph drops. At this point I am thinking I will just mix it with ro water, and apply every 3 to 5 days in between feedings, but I know it is not going to completely kill them. Has anyone else had ph issues using gnatrol with nutrients? I haven't been able to find much online or on the forums about this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
