Glass effect on light?

Hello, I just ordered a 430w (son-agro bulb) hps light and am going to rig up my own air cooled reflector (or something like one). I found a peice of glass that is pretty much the perfect size but don't know.. do some types of glass effect the light more than others? and how powerful a fan do you think i would need for a closet grow?

Just use regular glass dont try using anything funky and you'll be fine, I'd go with a 265 cfm fan use it too cool the light and exhaust the room, make sure you have enough intake tho.

You want to use tempered glass,and keep it CLEAN lol
