ok so ive been working up a nice collection of high end pipes, i prefer the scientific glass type pipes because they seem to be focused more on a connoisseur hit vs a lot of art pipes that you can't even find the mouth piece on lol...anyways i got a nice little vapor globe a while ago, and despite there being basically no instructions online on how to hit them(unless i wanna see some smelly 15 year old kid hit one in his moms basement from a dirty bong on youtube), i figured out how its used...
after figuring out how it worked i realized i needed a dabber device that was better than the paper clip i was using...i just ordered a glass dabber, and was about to buy one of those "glass concentrate dishes" you see all over the aqualab website...however i cannot for the life of me figure out what they are for! from my searching i have found references to people just pouring a glob of oil or a chunk of hash into it and just using it as a temporary spot to set it, then they put it back in a jar when they are done? that seems totally pointless to me, why not just dob it straight from it's original jar?
i know people aren't storing concentrates in these ash tray looking dishes long term...there is no way to seal them...so whats the point?
is it just like something to keep the dobber from touching the table? like you aren't meant to physically put anything in it it's just to keep the sticky end from touching the table and catch anything that might fall from the dobber?
