Glass blunts/joints. They're amazing.

I've only ever heard of these on the forums here, and I went out and found one. That was a few months ago, I just finally bought one a few days ago. This thing is an amazing smoking utensil. Personally, I can milk this much better than I can milk a bong. I've only ever smoked a couple joints, but if it's similar to this then I'm sad I've been missing out.

This thing burns perfect, no runs or anything, and I got the smaller version. I packed what I estimate to be about 1.5g into it tonight, and it was only about 75% full. The piece cost me $28, and had a "Chameleon Glass" sticker on it. (Some mass glass producer?) If your local glass shop doesn't carry it, ask about it. It is the most convinient piece I've ever had (similar to joints, right) and I can pack it and throw it in my pocket or something and just use it as I want it. I was thinking about getting a nice PHX, but I know this was a better purchase, for 1/10 the price.

Anyone else here use them? I've only seen a couple. I think more people should try these out. I'm sorry for this rant, I just had to say it.

I think the back part is your mouthpiece, and you slide it forward throughout the bowl, pushing out the ashes, and pushing the herb forward.??

Ive always wanted to try those.

My buddy has one that's damn near the same thing slightly different colorings (maybe bigger...i think his fits an 1/8). They'll get you incredibly fucked up, my lungs have smoked many a joint and blunt, and yet that thing still makes me cough like a chump. The only bad thing is it's hard to remember to keep ashing it so it stays cherried, at least after a couple hits.

Yeah, Peregrin Took explained it exactly how it works. You can get a few good long rips off of it before you need to push it forward and ash it, but it works great. Slides forward smoothly, and it all burns evenly so the ash just falls off nice and easy. If you don't pay attention you'll draw way too much and hack up a storm, but if you work it right you can get massive rips.

There's something about the bong that I can't do very well. I think it's the sudden change from inhaling air to inhaling a thick cloud of smoke. With this I can gradually increase the thickness of the smoke, which makes it easier to not cough it up. I'm sure you can do that with a bong, but I'm not very good at it.

Online glass retailers are serverly far and few between these days. Its illegal to ship glass across state lines. Thats what they nailed Chong with.

I was just thinking about starting a thread asking about these. My main question was do you have to light it for each hit or does it actualy stay lit? From what has been said here it sounds like it stays lit but Im still unsure.
Locally is the best bet to find one of these things?

These glass blunts have been around for quite a couple of years in the States (at least the western half) and you should be able to find them at most good smoke shops that sell glass. They are always a good choice; if kept clean.

They stay lit depending on the freshness of the herb, how ground up it is, and as long as you keep ashing it.

My friend had one, and we used it a bunch. What i like more is my Chillum...i can pack .4 in it no problem, just like a pipe, but smaller, and nicer IMO. I was thinking about the glass blunt purchase but i've always like chillums more. When i want to have a long toke on it, i roll a fat cone, and put it in the big end first, then it will stay lit for a long time. My girlfriend had a nice long skinny chillum that she would smoke joints out of...it was kinda like the Cruella Devil smoking device.... and when we wanted a simple toke, we'd just pop some in. Perfect for hiding in her bra for inside concert tokes and the like.

When i partay i roll up a blunt and put it in my chillum. As shown here!

My buddy has a glass blunt. It hits well but I really dont like having hot smoke that close to my face (same issue with spoons). Also, the piece gets kind of gross and way resinated after a few uses. Its a nice switch once in a while, but I still think bongs are the way to go.

I personally dont have a prefferred smoking method. I do like bongs. I do like joints. I do like pipes.

I like having all different ways of smoking. At my friends place the choices are 4 different spoons, two giant bongs, one an ADS and another from Venice Beach, a Vapor Bros, and a 10 foot bong, and random other pieces. I really dont have a favorite. I like 3 good rips outta the bong and then smoking a joint. Thats always a nice combo.
