glad to be back

rolled my ATV last month and sitting here w/ a tibia broken in four places, a fractured fibula, a 9 inch plate and 13 screws...could have been lots worse tho

That metal will only cause problems.

It's one of the worst mistakes ever when getting put back together.

That doctor should have paid more attention in shop class. That shit looks ghetto. :)

I sympathize, had a similar break years ago.

my girlfriend ran me over one night back in '83, she left me screaming & laying in pain in the street, a taxi driver heard my cries and drove my way to investigate, it was a friend of mine Matt. He helped me up and drove me to the hospital, along the way I told him my ankle was broken, he thought it was only sprained, we bet a quarter (25 cents) on the outcome of the x-rays. The doctor returned after looking @ the film, 7 fractures (ankle & fibula); Matt broke out $1.75 on the spot :) He had waited for me the entire time (2-3 hours) and drove me home.

good luck with that kk, if you elect to have that hardware removed later I can assure you that there is almost no pain involved, unlike when those screws & pins were inserted.
