GHS Cheese and Commercial Purps *56K WARNING*

This is going to be my first smoke report, so nobody be too harsh :dueling:. I am a fan of variety so I tend to get smaller amounts (quarters or halfs) of as many good-looking strains as I can get my hands on. To be honest, I often find that I cannot get very good quality with any consistency where I am from in the midwest. I was descently surprised with this find, however. A good friend of mine has been getting some really good gear in lately and this time he really delivered.

So to start off, here are some pictures of the wares (taken with a 8MP Sony H10 which I am still getting used too)

SMOKE REPORT

Disclaimer
I have a tendency to buy bud before I plan on toking on it while I enjoy "other wares." I store everything in glass jars and leave them sealed for around a week without opening them.

Here are pictures of the jar and the smoking utensils I used. The red bubbler is what I traditionally use, but I break out my white "taster" piece so I can get a good idea of the flavor.

Cheese Report

Taste: The taste was very unique, it had a pungent quality too it. Similar to some of the skunks I have tried but maybe with a more "sour" or "limey" aftertaste.

Bag Appeal: The buds were relatively dense, but not most solid I have seen. One could clearly make out the abundant layer of trichomes, and it definitely caught most of my friends' eyes.

Smoke: The smoke was not lung expanding, but it was a little rougher than I like. I am one to enjoy and very soothing type expansion, but I cant expect too much from my taster piece. His size can only do so much. Most of the bud I get around here is not cured very well so I never expect too much in this department *CANT WAIT FOR MY NEXT RUN*:woohoo:

High: The high was where this strain really shines. I was in love with what I called a very "opiate" effect to the high. I felt euphoric and warm at the same time. It was a good combination and I blended well with the other "wares" consumed.

Overall: I really enjoyed this weed and it makes me want to pick up a pack. I hear HGF's variant has more cheese genetics, but I need to do some more research. The taste was unique, high spectacular, and while the smoke could have been better, it was very enjoyable :joint:

Purple Report

Taste: The purple strain that I recieved had pretty generic weed taste too it. Most of the commercial around here has this characteristic, like it was grown with chem fertilizers, mass-dried, and not cured at all. I was not impressed, but *sight* we must do with what we can get. Cultivation cannot being soon enough!

Bag Appeal: Purple strains always get more credit in the bad appeal section. The colors just pop more and this strain struck me with the fact that the flowers were purple, not the rest of the plant. Most purple I see around here looks like the plant was heavily cooled, the whole structure is purple.

Smoke: Surprisingly, the smoke was relatively expansion-less. It was smoother than the cheese, but only because it was not a very lung-filling experience.

High: The high was much more indica-dominant. Its definitely a night-time toke. I prefer less "sleepy" highs so this wasnt exactly my bag of tea. But most of my friends around here really liked it so to each his own.

Overall: I felt the purple was unique, but definitely left me regretting the purchase. I try not to have too high expectations when I buy a sack, but we all know that we hope against hope its something bomb even if we are lying to ourself lol.

I hope you all enjoyed my smoke report. I will try to get more of them out there in the future, but for now look forward to the beginning of my grow report! I will be starting a 550w HPS grow with Mandala's Ganesh, Hashberry, and possibly some Sensi Jack Herer if it doesnt get "lost" in the mail (screw customs).

Peace and keep it list :joint:.

Hi,

I agree, this is a really nice report with beautiful bud shots.

I have few questions :

Did you ever try the original Cheese from Uk to compare them ?
Is the smell of the GH version cheesy ?

++

@Bluemonk

Thanks!

@Basstard

I knew I forgot something haha!

I havent had the pleasure of trying the real exodus cut, some special strains dont make it over big blue, but the cheese had a pungent, lightly "lime" characteristic with a slight edge to the scent. It was mirrored in the taste.

It is one of the most unique-smelling strains I have ever tried other than some well-grown organic diesel IBL, but, for me, its hard to label it with a particular "cheese" scent. I had experienced that many people's "x smell" is not the case to me. I tend to over-described scents so word word is-often-never enough for me.

But I have been baked constantly on this shit. Its a good smoke for going around to classes and shit.

Peace

You hit the GHS Cheese right on.....I let mine finishing flower at 63 days......Very Eurphoric!! It was great for my migranes.. I loved the aftertaste, kinda hard too describe(almost hashy) but always get it when smoking dank herb......I saw you were looking at HGF Cheese...This was the first GH gear I grew and I was definitly impressed...I would reccomend this strain..Again I have never smoked the "elite" Cheese, but I was very satisfied!!

Good job mad.

Cheese is one of my favorite strains. I love the odor of it the most I think

nice smoke report, but your bubbler kinda really creeped me out at first glance. It kinda looks like a penis.

imho, that purp sucks. I have the clone. It's very slow to veg, and yeild is average. The high isn't that great, unless you want to go to sleep. It's always sold wet (not mine of course...). When it's cured it does have a very nice berry taste. It's an easy cloner, and a consistent 8 week finisher. Very hermie resistant too.

nice report...i am a MNS man so i can't justify purchasing anything from GHS but it sure sounds like Franco has finally hit the rythym and is making a good product...i've wanted to do a side by side with the Medman/Rhino for years and if a few more good GHS reports emerge i may become a traitor (lol) and buy a 5pack of fem WR to grow next to the Medman...i just don't like wasting money but back to the point...great report and honestly the purps sound like a nice bed time smoke...any1 got advice on good bedtime strains like the purps
