OKay guys, I'd just like to say that I've read hundreds of posts on here, and OverGrow back in the day as well. I've always been a soil/outdoor guy. That is until 4 days ago I was at a friends that was in the process of scrapping a failing batch of seedlings. I jumped at the chance, wanting an excuse to tackle my first hydro grow.

What is your water temps?73 light on, 65-63 light off
When was your last feeding change? (ie. grow-bloom-micro-additional)havent changed from grow
How often do you clean your system: example: Flush out water replace with clean water and nutrients?once every 7-10 days
What size bulb are you using?1000hps
What is the distance to the canopy?from the light 35 inches
What is your RH Factor(Relative Humidity)?40%

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)Not sure using a double window fan unit directly in the side of the box, 3 six inch intake holes and massive negative pressure. I'd guess hundreds of cfm variable speed as well
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?see above runs 24/7 have a small 14inch fan blowing over the light/stirring up the air in the box.
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?no
Is your water HARD or SOFT?RO
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?RO
Are you using water from a water softener?RO
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched NO
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When? NONE
Are plant's infected with pest's NO

Thanks for any and all help! Also using phosphoric acid ph down. Oh and a 14 inch flexible bubble wand for air in the tank. IS this enough air? This place rocks. thanks!

two thoughts

One, move your ph up to about 5.6--5.8.
Two Get a ppm meter
three change out the res and put exactly half of whatever nutes you had in there before.
four..... get yourself a ppm meter
five.....did you pretreat the hydroton?
six......those are awfully small with not a lot of root mass so DWC may not the best way to go here until they are larger with better root systems. Consider watering them by hand or some sort of drip or flood system for better watering.

Ok, that was actually six thoughts. Can't count, sorry.

Is it possible the Pd down (phosphoric acid) can be contributing to a lockout?
should i be using nitric acid during veg?
I did not pretreat the expanded clay, pretreat as in ph adjust? I noticed that if not rinsed alot of dust works it way int he resevoir though.
1/2 strength too much?
Ill change the resevoir and add 1/4 strength nutes. Along with a slightly higher ph. (5.6-5.8)

Ph down in large amounts POSSIBLY could be locking you out. Thats where the pretreatment for hydron is for ph, yes. Been using large amounts?

You need to ease stress until you can pinpoint exactly what the issue is. That includes lowered nutes when in doubt (and i don't know about you but I am) and changing out your res regularly to keep nutes/additives ratios in line. Let me know how any of this does for you.

As for the Ph down i use 20% phosphoric and only 2-3 drops at most each time i change the resevoir. To answer about the CalMag... This DNF grow A and B nutes have good amounts of Mg and Calcium. It has to be the nutes. Ima go to 1/4 strength (5.8 ph) and see what happens.

I'm in the middle of changing res as we speak.

Good luck. Yes, let me know how they do. And try watering them by hand once with your regular res water. Let me know if it makes a difference. It certainly won't hurt them.
