So my wife is a bit wierded out by our home...previous owner around 10yrs ago died in it...no biggie.

We moved in, everything seems normal....but once every 6-8 months or so there is a bit of weird activity...

Nothing malicious...

A half drank glass of milk on the counter (neither me not the wife drink milk by the glass EVER)

A stuffed doll left in the middle of the living room (wifey is a neat freak, and cleans before bed, our son was a baby at the time and couldn't get outta the crib)

She even swears she woke up to a dark shape watching us at the foot of the bed, said she turned to wake me up, when she looked back it was gone....I didn't see squat lol

Whatcha think...overactive imagination?

when I was young I used to sleep walk a lot and do things I didn't remember in the morning.
I used to see things or beings in my room also.

that space between waking and dreaming is an interesting one

We lived in a older than 200 year old farm house back home. The old lady that owned the house before us and whose family originally built the house, I knew her very well, died in it. I woke up one night and she was standing between my bed and the door looking at me. She looked the same as she always did so it was easy to see it was her. Was only a few seconds but spooked the shit outta me.

no need for a cctv camera, got a couple of dogs :)

One thing to note was the old guy who died one one ROTTEN SOB... The type of guy who tries to burn down his neighbors house, beat his kids...etc. etc.

Is there a rule about camera's not being able to sense paranormal events ?

Unless the apparition is solely playing games on our minds, if we see something ... would a camera also record it ?

How about, leave a loaded bong out, and a lighter, with a camera with a HUGE memory card (so it doesn't run out) recording what would be a still image of the bong sitting on the table or whatever.

It sounds like the previous owner could use a puff.

But if pot turns your ghost into a pyscho monster - just something else to film. :woohoo:

Instead of Ghost Busters ... Ghost-Puffers ?

There's an energy we cannot see in our realm/plane. Certain smells, senses can alert us. Kis "see", esp. toddlers as they've not been taught to disregard what they see. My dog refused to go in a home for sale in SO CO, absolutely refused. Some sort of juju in there....I respected him for not going in. Suffice to say, I did not buy that home.

Have had several other instances, letting me know they are with me by a "sign" only I would know.
My uncle's cigar when no one was smoking, an eagle flying overhead, doing a fly over, dipped wing tips...that was my dad, or so I wanted to believe.

Most poignant....high in the mountains @ 9,200 ft. had a family summer home. For decades, our family building the primitive cabin (closest electricity 5.5 mi. away, had an outhouse, a mountain spring for water, lights/stove on 100 gallon propane tank). One October (first fall since my mom passed away, 1996), was hiking up into the aspens to study (in graduate school at the time). Meandering up a slope, there were a few bunches of Autumn asters near a fallen tree that had been downed by a wind storm a decade prior. Knelt down to admire them, thinking of my mom as September's flower are asters. Studied, meandered in the gold blanket of falling aspen leaves, I returned the same way, passing the downed fir. No asters were present! Subtle....nothing fearful, but knew it was my mom saying "hello".

Maybe, maybe not.

No way I would sleep there. Sounds too real for me, I mean how else would explain the glass of milk.

I think there is real ghosts or at least real paranormal "energy" I have witnessed a few strange instances of lights flickering but that's about it, never in my own house.

I would never live in a house somebody has died in, when shopping for a house I'd only seek out newer properties. I have also known some people that have had some really creepy things happen.

Maybe his neighbor is Kramer . . .

Perhaps the house is located at spot where a parallel universe touches sometimes, actually enabling transfer of matter between.

I think my house is . . . how else can you explain all my missing sunglasses?

what we know & can explain is but a drop in the sea compared to what we do not know & can never explain...

Maybe get an air quality test. Apparently inhaling some kinds of mold can cause hallucinations or psychosis aka seeing/ hearing ghosts

You're wife probably just wants you to buy her a new house

lol, had an air quality test when we moved in, house was less than a year old when the old guy died....he burned down the previous house on the property and a rental also.....everyone figured he was a bit of a pyro also.....never charged with that, tho he did do some time for threatening to blowup a gov't building....

Wife's doesn't want a new house, not bi-polar, and is about as straight as they come when it comes to not believing...but this makes her really wonder...kinda funny actually...with her being her...

So the house was built in 1999...guy died in 2000, vacant except for a failed grow (they got popped during the first week of setup cause they were stupid....(hence the air quality test i had done)...

same here, a side effect of my medications sometimes.

my worst sleepwalking episode involved me barricading myself safely in my room while my sister & old friend Danny tried to break into my place to kill me.

when I came out of it I looked around, I wrecked the room, 200-250 DVDs on the floor, my 2 dogs cowered away from me :dunno: And thinking that I had my 357 in hand I'd grabbed a framing hammer with a similar neoprene grip as the pistol had.

btw, I'd never even seen Danny mad at anyone, let alone trying to kill me. my sister on the the hand, idk.
