GH Flora for SOIL?

Soil fertalizing, just a question on how to water using my hydroponic nute's GH flora, i have two grows going one soil one dwc and only dwc nutes. all insight welcome. what do you go by as far as how much water to feed and how often you feed your plants, im curious for all forms of life. fresh rooted clones to harvest. if anyone has water scheduals, i will be working with aprox 8x6x8 room SCROG What would be recommended pot size? I will be using healthy clones. should i just plant in flowering pot or should i do gradual transplant throughout lifecycle.

Your soil mix should have little to no calcium or magnesium since its in your water/nutes. See how to make a soilless mix below in my signature. This means using little to no dolomite lime in the mix. Depend on ph control coming from your fert water. Adjust ph of fert water after mixing to about 6 using an acid or base. Things to use are in my signature below "how to make your own ph up or down".

15 grow, 10 micro, 5 bloom per gallon.

Use 1/3 strength on small seedlings/clones.

Larger clones and regular plants 1/2 to 3/4 strength.

You should not need full strength to get good growth.

For flower, 3/4 strength of this: 15 bloom, 10 micro, 5 grow

Feed with every watering. 20% of what you apply should pour out the drainholes. You want runoff. Allow pots to dry well between watering.

Good luck!!!

Well I agree with the runoff part lol,its important to achieve total saturation all the way through and the only way to do that is to water slowly and get a good deal of runoff.Remember, you can get runoff and still be doing a shitty job watering,100% saturation all the way from top to bottom is what you're shooting for.Not using any dolomite lime period in your mix is just asking for ph problems down the road if you ask me,my water is totally fucked with a good bit of calcium and magnesium but I still use dolomite for ph control,I've seen no lockout problems in my plants due to excess calcium.I just wouldnt grow without dolomite anymore, its too important

the feeding looks right...looks just like what the bottle recommends.

Other than the regurgitated feeding schedule...I wouldn't take much of sproutco's advice, but that's just me. :smoke:

Actually I have never seen the bottle and their directions. I have only seen the ppm numbers.

TokeD: You're asking for advice for the complete growing cycle? Pot sizes? Watering times? That's a big chuck of information... do some searching around or pick up a grow book. =P

Water when it's dry.... Use whatever pots work best for your room....

So you're giving out advice on a product you've never even held in hands? Why?

you guys really like to beat sproutco down!
he's just trying to help, in his own way.
to each their own, i say.
i'm not trying to defend his practices,
im just trying to say that we, as a community, shouldnt bicker.
cheers!

its not that we enjoy 'beating down' sproutco...it is that he gives bad advice...period. He does give out good advice some of the time...but some of the time isn't good enough. What if one of the times he gave out bad advice was to you...and it had a negative effect on your garden...sproutco would ultimately be the one who told you to do something that wasn't right...but that burden would also fall on those who read your post and read sproutco's response and didn't chime in to say any different. You get what I am saying...I don't want sproutco's advice to stand for ICMAG, but it is hard for it not too as sproutco has 16 posts per day for the past 6 months straight!!! And most are trying to help others... Some of his posts are informative and helpful, but alot are rubbish.

Just trying to clarify and convey to you where I come from. His info is usally spot on when it comes to NPK levels...because he uses a calculator and a text book. :) It is his diagnosing and product suggestions that are wack!
Take care.

I've seen it many many times...that newbies will come to this site...post a few times and get responses from sproutco. THey see his post count, his reputation, and his friggin signiture and assume that he is the 'source' of information. That is simply not the case and I am just trying to make sure that they see both sides of the coin.

I dont want anyones advice on a product they themselves have not done at least one full run with it if not two. No hard feelings intended, just my honest opinion.

not to mention the points kokua made, solid advice.

peace
