GH and coir

I ran the GH "3-2-1" in coco also....
I used Highgrade's recipe....which is the GH "3-2-1" at 33%

I run GH Floranova Bloom at 33% in coir, works perfectly.

I'm running gh too. Using lucas formula and getting good results. add liqiud karma and some cannazyme and the plants do well. coir is the best medium for my style.......

Seal room with a 3ton ac. No co2 this run. I normally like 18" but this time they where like 7". I won't hit 1lb per plant this run. If i get 10 oz per i'll be happy . As i feed each plant i turn it. I normally veg for 3 week to 4 or 3ft what ever comes first. Just this run i didn't like the structure of willijuana so i flip early.

BH........(1)Does it matter how long it takes to fill the buckets up before they start drainin to the catch buckets underneath and stop the daily feed?..........I`m seriously needin to automate cuz I don`t have the time to water by hand........I`ve been gearin up for ebb and flow buckets due to ease of the system ,but this throws a monkeywrench into the works..... ......Anyways ......Thanks and all info`s appreciated.......PEACE...........DHF........

I use the trimpro. Very easy and only takes like 45 min to trim it and hang it. With 2 people.

BH........(1)Can you mix coir with lava?........I`ve got no access to hydroton locally here in the asshole of the earth without orderin online and I`m not real sure how much shippin would cost me due to the amounts I need..Plus I got lava out the ass and can mke smaller chucks if needbe......(2)Where`s your drain placed in your buckets?.....In other words is there any solution left in the bottom of the bucket at all times like in our old bucket setups with drain in the side?...Thanks in advance......DHF.......

I need to know how to hang these 2 1K's....
5 x 5 tent....should I hang the MH high and the HPS low?
Or run them both high? I'm gonna hang em both high for now....
If I use the walls I can't rotate the plants....but that's cool too

p.s. We need a coco tree thread....hope you considering authoring one Blue Haze....many of us have questions....but handling bizness in the GH coir thread is all good too

Dhf- I never have try lava with coir but from my understanding is that lava holds to much water so its not a good mixture. Your best bet would be 100% coir. I have done run with coir and hydroton but i 'm liking the 100% coir better. I would stay away from the hydroton for now. The drain is just a tad lower than the krusty buckets. The same idea as a recirculate system. In this system you don't want that stagnant water build up you want that 10% to 15% drain. That of course if your doing drain to waste. Any more drain and your wasting nutz. Its not ideal to have the 2" water left behind.

-VT- sup bro. I would try to make sure the light is in the canopy to really get the full effect of vertical lighting. The top of your plant should be neck to neck with the bulb. I like to surround the bulb with the plants. Turning them every day.

Thanks BH.........(1)So coir swells up 5 times it`s original volume,How much does it take to fill a 5 gal.bucket?.........I`ve been lookin for sites to get it and what I found was .5 cu.ft. 12"x12"x6" bricks that supposedly swell to 2.5 cu.ft. for 12 bucks........(2)Got any better sources for bulk?.......(3)What type container do you use to feed and bout how much juice do you give each plant or rather how do you determine that "10-15%" runoff?..........Thanks again....I`m real excited bout tryin this dewd.....PEACE.........DHF.........

Dhf-I normally get 3 (5 gallon) bucks per 2.5 cu ft bag. I start feeding with a 320z cup per tree. As they get bigger i upgrade to a 1ltr cup per. If that not enough i go up 2ltr per. When i flush i give it a gallon per. Wait a good hour or 2 and continue nutz. I love the fact no more chiller to cool the water and no more pumps and hoes all over the place. Even though i hand feed it takes me a good 20 min a day and i'm done. I even feel closer to them cause i feed each one and i do a inspection to make sure every thing is up to par.

BH.........If you only knew how many times hose and plumbins been stepped on from over here....lol..... ..I guess you feel and know my pain.........Too cool goin back to basics..........I`m after it BH, but I`ll figure out a way to flood em with the runoff each day automated .....I`ve been doin bigtime research from archives but how do you ph "up and or down" ?............Or do you even "have to" due to the 15-20% runoff drain daily and weekly flush type thingy?....I`m likin the fact that I can use our `ol tried and true "GH nutes"...........Anyways.....Thanks again.........Peace.......DHF.........
