from what ive read upto the probation part your just paranoid,but probation adds a new twist to your picture.. why in the world would you grow even 1 plant when your on probation ??? , dosent your PO come to your home to inspect every month at any time of day or night he or she desires ????. every1 i knew on probation got monthly visits at home, and dont they drug test you again every1 i knew on paper had to drug test even for non drug offenses. personall i would wait till off probation then grow your hart out

You sound like you know what you should do.
I don't think you're stupid, but you've made some bad choices, and you're aware of it.
Growing isn't worth your sanity or health.
I would wait until you have a more secure area, or find a friend that you could grow with.
I waited until I bought my own house to start growing.
Growing something else for a while might satisfy your growing urge and give you a reason to have grow supplies.
As far as the maintenance person, that's a crap shoot. They could be cool with it, they could report you.

dnb- If you are losing sleep because of your anxiety regarding this grow, I would have to agree with DJ Twist, and say that maybe you should scrap the grow for the time being, and start up when you have a more secure situation...like getting off probation, and owning rather than renting. Now that you know all of the early mistakes you made, when you start up again later on, you can be very inconspicuous from the start. Just look at this grow as a lesson in growing security which will come in handy later.
If you only smoke a bowl a day, and you can't sleep because you're worried about getting raided or people coming in your closet through the attic?????
It doesn't seem worth it.By the way, don't be embarassed about your DUI. It happens to a lot of normal people. Just make sure you channel that embarassment towards making sure you never do it again. Even the worst experiences can be positive if you learn something from it. Whatever you decide, good luck.

They're supposed to give you notice - usually 24-48 hours. But they CAN enter at any time. They have the key.
And if there is some suspicious activity, it might give them a reason to go in, or to let LEO's in.
In this day and age, don't depend on civil rights to protect you.

well, I reported a maintenance problem so they wanted to let me know that they were working on the situation so that's why they came here, anytime there is maintenance issue they always leave a note saying they fixed the problem or whatever the issue is. I just didn't expect them to go in my apt. regarding an issue outside of the apt. (garage).

I think if he was gonna report the bong, he'd have to do it right away or the cops would have to go through the whole investigation crap... but the guy didn't even see your plant, and if he did, it's cool, cause that's not something I think they'd have a big investigation over - especially if they just knew about the bong. So it seems like one of those immediate or never cases.
But honestly, if it were a felony to grow a small amount where I live, i'd be worried all the time. I just hope some day you're able to claim your right. In the meantime, if you can't face the possibility of spending a few months in jail... if it's like the worst thing that could happen... then it's not worth it.

Why would you leave a bong and buds out in plain sight? Wether or not you thought someone may enter your home is a trivial matter...shouldn't be sitting on your coffee table when you aren't home..wether you grow or not. I don't leave my shit out in the open.
