getting weed in cancun

i'll be going to an all inclusive in cancun in feb, and was wondering what the weed availability is. i usually go to jamaica where everybody is trying to sell you weed but got a great deal on cancun. i'd read that mexico relaxed their weed laws but don't know how open and available it is for a tourist. anybody have any recent experience??

try to find the best quality sativa and bring the seeds back. I would guess it can be found in the market's where people are trading a lot of odd spices. then again could just be an ordinary restaurant. good luck

Last time I was out there they tried to charge me 400 bucks for half an ounce of dirtweed. Its a big risk to the locals to bring herb to sell to tourists because the cartels will deal w them if they find out about it. taking your own is usually the best way to do things

Just take your own. I do. Have everywhere globally. Even Bangkok where the drug laws are crazy stiff. I'm talking about 2 joints or so. Not hard to take through security at all. The homeland security isn't looking for it, they are looking for much more important confiscatables like guns, etc. There is many ways to travel w it. Just have a small enough amount that it won't get you in trouble.

Now if you need a zip for a week in cancun, then just ignore this post!

going to jail in mexico is like registering at motel hell...cancun likes to make examples of you white American boys...DONT bring it on a plane and if you do score in the market, be stealth when smoking...outside carlos and charlies is a good bet to score

A good way to score in a foreign country is from another foreigner who lives there, anyone from a long term resident to a guy who has been a guest of your hotel for a few days longer than you....it's just a matter of getting on side with him or her, being cool about it, taking your time etc then ask the question and I'm sure you will be looked after or pointed in the right direction.

I always feel edgy when buying from locals in third world counties where the penalties are for cannabis are harsh, but when dealing with someone from your own country who knows what's up for a few grams or so, it's fifty times less stressful.

For ten years or so, before I knew you could buy seeds online, that's how I got my beans, particularly from Jamaica, hence my online name- Jammie. Ps- thanks for all the replies. I usually ask the bellboys and especially the towel guy. If they don't have it, they can get it. Special thanks on the Carlos and Charlie's tip.

when I was down there, we scored some of the best weed I have smoked in my life, right at bar off of the main strip.the waiter got our drink order, and came back and asked what we wanted. dude tossed little baggies of shit on the table, we took our pick and gave back the rest. I wish I knew the name of the place, it was down a short alley and up on the second story if it helps. also, every third vendor in the market well try to sell you little bundles of weed, but don't buy it unless you see the weed go in the packaging

I was in Cabo last year and every time I went on the beach, one of the guys selling the excursions and other shit always asked if I wanted weed. Even showed me some pretty good looking weed.

I didnt buy any because of a horror story of another family member being extorted by the police. The police were working with the dealer. He sold it to the tourists and would point them out to the cops, cops would shake the tourist down for s bribe and confiscate the pot and give it back to the dealer so he could rope in another tourist.

My advise is don't flaunt your wealth. This is going to be controversial, but getting drunk or even tipsy will make you a target faster than anything else IME.
