last summer i was smoking a fugu kush harvest which had a lot of eugenol. people like the taste and it can add an interesting note to the hit but it burns hot and i have this idea that eugenol is not the best thing for anyones lungs. from eg. the reputation for dying that clove smokers had when i was a kid.
ran out of fugu and got a deal from a desert rat to fill out the rest of 2020, nepali x brick allegedly, "real incensey and peppery, refined" my ass harsher than shit. eugenol + beya caryophyllene city, hot and nasty. choked my way through it until my lungs were raw. that bag fucked up my capacity to smoke.
the combo of the two imprinted a recognition that this was really bad weed, characteristic terpenoids i wouldn't be surprised to find in abundance in all the bad weed i ever smoked, but never really thought about what was going on. maybe it taste teh spicy. it like teh napalm for your inside.
guess i'm getting older as i have to clean my weed meticulously with magnification to remove all stem, or it kills me too much to smoke, i'm not gonna live long feeling.
since then my microharvests have been real hit or miss, several individual plants from strains i've grown for years just being super unlucky and burgeoning with beta caryophyllene, i have to pace out my better buds and consign the harsh ones for work. poor me eh.
always had sensitive lungs, but never seen much talk on how shit beta caryophyllene is to smoke, heads up for anyone getting older.
world try growing some menthol strains if you want the "lung stimulating" effect. that's real good for your lungs. beta caryophyllene is bloody murder when you are no longer so indestructible.
dreaming of that satori pheno that was smoooooth, mellow and tobaccoey without the garlic.
