getting this site to un remember me

aside from telling my puter to dump all cookies, is there any way to use this site to forget i ever clicked the "remember me" box? all i have to do is type in the first letter of my name: 'm' and it fills in the whole name and offeres up my security code as well.

Did you delete everything through 'Tools > Delete Browsing Data > Delete All'?

(assuming Windows / Internet Explorer)

The website isn't doing this, it's your "puter"

Yep, that's your browser's autofill function (or whatever it's called in your browser). It will do the same when filling in a form on any web site. Depending on your browser, you can turn it on or off or clear all or part of the data it remembers.

In Firefox top menu select Tools then Clear Private Data. Also Under Tools >Options> Privacy you can clear it out and make permanent settings for what it remembers in the future.

Similar options in IE too.

you must delete passwords and form data stored in the browser history. must go to internet options in the browser to do this.

i did what you said someguy, cause i got firefox, and still nothing changed. i will try the above in the last post.

i tried that to. told it to stop all cookies. when i clicked on this site i pushed stop or deny all cookies two times. then when i got here and it asked to log in, all i had to do was type the letter M and my whole name came up. when i clicked on my whole name it filled that in and my pass word also. so nothing so far stopped that from happening. do i have to restart my computer to make that Internet options thing work??? i will try that now

no it didnt.
then i went to Tools Options Securities and told it not to remember passwords. then when i typed M nothing happened. then when i typed in my whole name, however, my password got filled in so....hmmmm

Did you reboot after you cleared everything? Guess you did...weird normally clearing, deleting and rebooting works.

check if you have autocomplete settings in the browser settings and delete/turn them off...

it's in the internet options > content tab > autocomplete > settings

and there you can disable it only for usernames and passwords..

if your using IE I'm sure this is your problem! good luck! hope it helps you.

check out stealther for when you are surfing in firefox. Allows you to turn on/off the plugin via a shortcut key. It stops keeping cache, browsing history etc. once it's turned on. I don't think it's going to fool the FBI.. but it will keep your standard LEO a bit confused if looking for browsing info.. and especially the casual friend/fam using your puter.

Theres always a million questions in here like this. There is all kinds of stealthy encryption for your computer and your browsing. I would reccomend searching for encryption tecniques in the search function..

I think the hard-drive is the most ressistent piece of equipment in a PC... if someone in your tech dept. tries to save components from that pc or retrieve data you may still have a problem.
