Getting seeds to Vietnam

There's a chance I'll be living here in Vietnam for a while and want to get some seeds from the Bou to last me for a couple years (maybe 20-30 seeds total).

Just for clarification:

1. I will not keep males, they will be killed immediately to protect any local landraces (same goes for hermies)

2. I'm not interested in growing local bagseed, only as a last resort.

3. It is technically illegal to have cannabis here, but it is a risk I am willing to take (bribes go a long way here)

Now the problem is that the post office here in Vietnam is notorious for opening up packages. The customs at the airport haven't been a big deal, although I did see police dogs at the baggage terminal in Bangkok. I figure my options are:

1. Send seeds to a friend to be re-packaged and disguised in Europe before forwarding here.

2. I'll be taking a trip to Europe soon, so I have the seeds sent there and then bring them back with me on the airplane (note: will be flying through Bangkok or Hong Kong in all likelihood)

What's my best option? Any other ideas?

Also, are there any other kinds of seeds that look similar to cannabis seeds that could be used to hide the seeds in while still being able to pick them out later?

If this thread is against the rules here I apologize. I did read the TOU and didn't see anything about the topic of transporting seeds.

Carrying a few seeds on the plane should be no problem, just take them out the packs wrap them tight in cling film and either place by your gums or cellotape to your upper inner thigh.

And why not try growing a viet strain or two? When in rome... or Ho Chi Minh.

Thanks for the reply! If I knew a grower who had a local strain, I would probably grow it. BUT, from my research so far it seems that the 'Vietnamese' strains grow farther north and in the mountains vs. here in the south lowlands. The local bud sold here comes from Cambodia or Laos.

It's so hard to find any info about this topic, every time I type Vietnam and cannabis into google, it's all articles about Vietnamese grow-ops in Cali, Canada or the UK!

For transporting I was thinking about putting them in some kind of packaged food that could be re-sealed with glue. Or in a container of different colored pepper seeds.

Mix them in with some trail mix or edible seed mix! Honestly though in the gums or cellotaped behind the nether regions never fails. ACE seeds offer some viet black hybrids that should be more workable in your region, stay away from indica doms. I'd love to see some mnago haze or nev's performing in vietnam.

I lived full time in Vietnam , not so recently, ( 2000-2003 ) ( Saigon, then Vungtau ). My Wife is from Vietnam and I was in my mid 40's when living there. We just read this post and yes, bribes do go a long way although they're not called bribes in Vietnam. Our bet is if you played your cards right you could be sitting with the local police chief and laughing and giggling and he'll be more than happy to bring a little home to his wife or to his mistress elsewhere but we don't think you would have any problem at all as long as you don't flaunt it, don't have deadlocks and look like a back packer. But you're teaching? If it's a licensed teaching job you're HIGH up on the scale for respect. Sounds like a good position to be in if you enjoy living in Vietnam.

I enjoyed it a lot and I've been told I can get IN WRITING an agreement with the chief to allow me medical use of cannabis if we were to relocate back. My Wife's Family are very influential people in Saigon, Tay Ninh, as well as some place up north and huge contacts in Cambodia. While I would go back in a second, the written contract won't save me from Hanoi. Kind of like it's ok in California but step into Fla and zap.

P.S. They never opened my packages at Saigon Main PO but they do open all Viets packages and most younger "foreigner" peoples.

Terrific people though aren't they? No matter what they'll try to do something. They really have the "I can do it" attitude. I own a company in Saigon and personally interviewed hundreds of mostly females ( Oye Vey what a great place to be ) and they all seemed to be going to night school after work or doing something or trying to do something.

Unbelieveble what the US did there to that land and people and still not manned up about it. Shameful.
