Getting my girl through winter

G'day

Growing 32 degrees south of the equator here. I have just the single plant that has just shown its first white hairs. She is a chocolope from dna sitting in coco and perlite.

I would love to know from fellow growers on how viable it would be to keep her going through the winter, and ready for the next grow season, without having to bring her inside. Winter never reaches freezing temps here. I'm giving strong consideration to building a basic greenhouse, figure it can only help.

Have been reading much on cloning and reveg etc but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

TIA

can you put her in a closet? Run lights at night (warmth) - heat mat, reptile heating cables during day when needed. If your revegging you can put her on 24/0 lights and that will deal with the warmth also. CFLs will do it.

if the temps never drop below freezing you could run her later into the season, but at some point the lack of light will be your biggest problem

weed is considered an annual plant, so it only wants to live one full cycle
/assuming seed to flower

the best thing to do in your case is to take a few cuts from this beauty and maintain them under lights until you can place her outdoors again

a greenhouse will extend your season and allow buds to ripen, but im not a fan of reveging or trying to run the same plant twice

I'm not going to be able to put her in the house this winter unfortunately. I'll look into setting some cfl's out in the shed instead. I won't be able to supply any supplemental heating so will the cfl's provide enough heat to keep her healthy? I don't need her to thrive or supply clones, just get through to the other side of winter ready to go again. If not I'll look into some heat mats.

Thanks

If she is starting to flower now I doubt it's going to stop now unless you put a light over her and bump up the light to 18 hours

clfs prob wont cut it
they dont really give off that much heat
depending on the size of the shed you will need to bring in some other heat

i think part of the problem is, after wintering she wont really thrive
weird growth is not uncommon in plants revegged or grown beyond one season
you might be able to make it work, so have a go
but i would not expect top results

if you can set up some florescent lights you should really consider tkaing cuts and letting this lady move on
