Get a "fresh nose" around your grow

If you grow and are around it all the time you might not have much of a nose for your medicine as some people. I thought my filters were working fine but a friend stopped by and said "damn, I smell them big time dude!" He is cool and does not smoke cigs or cannabis and his nose is much better than people who do smoke or are around cannabis all the time.
Even if you are all legal it is good to stay low. Might be a good idea to have somebody you trust that is not around the stuff all the time to take sniff of your place

I tell my wife all the time she is my nose. She smokes, but CONSIDERABLY less than me. She sux though. Before I got my new system completely set up, I could smell it and she always said she couldn't smell it, but the house did always smell good.

So make sure you get a good fresh nose, lol.

My OD partner or wife give me the heads up. Or in the presence of crippling paranoia, i light a incense stick and stand by my duct outside.

Ha! Whenever I have a garden going, the smell issue is always on my mind, and I make sure to engage my smell receptors when I come back to my abode after having been away for a while, at least a few hours away from the inside smell.

I think that being away from any weed smell for a few hours will re-sensitize your nose so that anything but the slightest odors would be detected.

Totally agree. I am always on the alert when I walk in the house. It's the first thing I think of as I open the door.

be sure the carbon scrubebr is large enough for your erea over kill dont hurt

Major Pothead is absolutely correct, overkill is bueno. I've expierienced the same smokers immunity to cannabis smells of all sorts, and after a little thinking upgraded in the smell department. 4x2 foot filter in an 4x8 room. Works great though... Taking a couple hours away helps, but a quick weekender will really open up the nostrils.

Good advise here. Being around your grow or weed smells a lot causes your nose to become supersaturated with that particular smell. As Wiggs Dannyboy suggested exiting the area for a few hours helps. I also liked the no extra noses comment earlier also but its up to you how much security you want with your grow. Be safe everyone and take care 1

agreed. my wife has got a nose like a bloodhound and keeps me on the up and up. And pregnant, forget about it, she could smell a bad apple from a block away.

I've heard this before, but I don't get how it works? Do their senses just get really intense as a defense mechanism when they are pregnant?
