I think I have a touch of OCD when it comes to germs. The general public freaks me out.

Hell no. I wouldn't have a bunch of little disease spreading bastards running around infecting my sterile environment. I stayed with my sister for a couple days this past fall and got the damn rottilla virus--the one that gives you the runs. Never again--kids are cute and all, but should be kept at a distance.
Well, we are hosts to millions of bacteria all the time. Even fresh out of the shower. Not all are bad germs though. we are the 'world" to a myriad of microscopic creatures and germs.

Try not to freak & yank out all your eyelashes after viewing the pics of our little constant companion, the follicle mite. I have known about these, and their other little buddies that live on us for a long time, (Discovery Channel) and nope, it doesn't bother me one bit.

just this thread made me laugh. havin seen a program or two on the microscopic world i didnt dare click the links. while part of my brain knows they're there, the other part is in complete denial. part of me wants to act like Niles Crane off fraiser constantly wipin off stuff, but i'm lazy & often let the non thinkin part of my brain rule.

Apparently it's not healthy to live in a super-hygienic environment as then your immune system is never being challenged. I guess germs are like most things - good in moderation

Hahaha, Verite, obscure does NOT mean inebriated! Well, maybe I had just come back from bowling, and maybe I had had a few oat sodas... That's neither here nor there....
