Germination Rates - different breeders

I thought I would document my latest grow. I chose several different breeders to see how they stacked up. Let's check out germination rates so far after one day soak in water and one day in rapid rooter.

Rez (SD) 12%
Wally Duck 100%
Serious Seeds 78%
Mandala 44%
SB Freebies (Durban P X Skunk and NL X ???) 0%
Dutch Passion 0%
Greenhouse 0%

I know 48 hours is just getting started but . . . .

Wally Duck 100% germ after 48 hours - WOW
Should I be worried about the SD?

Based on the latest round -

Overall best packaging Award - Tie between Greenhouse and Serious Seeds. Both are tamper-resistant. Greenhouse's packaging would be the toughest to duplicate. Serious has individually written tracking numbers on each pack.

I'm ready to declare this germ a success!!

I had read so many horror stories about poor germination rates with expensive seeds that I was concerned, this being my first really expensive seed grow. But the breeders came through for me.

The few beans that didn’t pop yet are smaller than the rest were.

thats cool how they gave vbs as a freebie...i hear those dp x sk1 have bad germ rates. best of luck with them bro...hopefully something nice comes from them.

That's a quote from a 7/06 post. Seems there was alot of posts about the DP X Skunk germ rates. I guess I'm not the only one.

Watch that blueberry for leaf dotting,check the undersides of leaf intermittently along mein vein for eggs,the strain is a veritable mite attractant among other analgous issues,frickin retardation being among them.I'm familiar with DP unfortunately,stay away from skywalker or mazar,go with the flo dont ya know.Its a stretcher but of good quality at least.Skywalker is bar none the worst strain I've grown,and 150 ducats!

Man you were right about the DP blueberry. MAJOR retardation!

Here's the grow after 21 days veg and 10 days 12/12.



They were 7 - 10 inches when I put them into 12/12 at 3 weeks. 10 days later they average about 21 inches. They stretched 8 inches first week, I expect 8 inches in week two and 6 or so in week three.

I've pulled clones and will make some seeds with them.

Females so far:

Kali Mist
Hashberry
AK47
C99 X Blackberry
Satori
Blueberry (DP)
Arjan's Haze #1

Of course, I have males of everything too except AK47 (4 for 4 females) and Satori (3 out of 3 females)

Still waiting on the SD to show sex.

They are all from the bay. I'd have liked to add some strains from the other vendors, but they took so long to get me my stuff I just started with all SB.

Whoooo hoooo for the 100% Germ Rate for Satori and Hashberry. I have both of those strains on the way! My AK's also germed 100%. How many watts are you using?

I noticed the Durban Poison + Skunk freebies, take way longer and like it warmer than usual. Germinating them like I do everything else, I get 0%. Upping the temp and waiting longer, I get 40% germination. Basically, what I figured would be too hot and too long, worked for them.
Unfortunely, because they were freebies and I was just "experimenting" on what I seen someone else post about them liking it warmer - I went for it. I didn't record the temp they liked - sorry. But where most beans only take 24-48 hours, they took a week.
Just my findings, don't know if it'll help ya or not.
