germination problems!!!

i have started 4 seeds out of 6. i want to end up with only 4 for my grow tent. my problem is that after i germed them, in the paper towel method, they all popped out and were growing ok, in soil, showing there codylet (?) pod leaves except one. this one was growing with the seed still on it. i didnt touch it and waited for the seed to come off naturally, when it did it lost one of the pod leaves. from what i can see the two single blade leaves arent fully developed yet. the one pod leaf still on the plant is green and the one in the shell is yellow. my question is does the plant even stand a chance, i guess i just could wait and see but i have 2 other seeds i can start in the mean time but i dont wanna kill any good plants. there store bought seeds and costed some dough and cant get a hold of more. but at the same time i dont wanna wait days and have the plants be that far apart. has anyone lost one pod in very early stage and had the plant go into veg ok?

They usually veg out of it and catch up. Only thing you can do is wait it out. 1 out of 10 seeds seems will probably be one that does not want to drop the leftovers of the seed. I've popped a lot of seeds and never had one not germ. I've had only one runt, but this one popped first out of 10 and had FIVE cotyledons.

Check out the pic, you may be able to see them..., looks like 4 but that back one is two actually...

You'll figure it out, this stuff is normal. Have fun and don't stress out too much, there is a lot of normal natural stuff that will make you scratch your head... They need a sticky of normal crazy things the plants do... to give newer growers' a break...

i wouldnt be worried if the single blade leaves were already grown some. my problem is that the first set of single blade leaves are still in the middle of the stem and laying on the only pod leaf. i know that after those blade leaves are formed the pod leaves dont matter anymore. i only have one pod leaf right now consuming light. this is my 4th grow and i have read everything i could in the past years on growing, far from noob, but this isnt something im too famililar with. like i said i dont wanna throw all my seeds in one grow and having too many plants and have to kill one or two perfectly good plants for no reason.

I kind of understand so bare with me.

If you have a plant that is a runt, not forming leafs as the other plants are, I would chop it down (that is if it where me). I don't like lagging plants. They take up floor space, never get as much light, and don't produce as much, usually. It's a personal call what you want to do with it. It will probably catch up, or develop some odd random deficiencies as some deformed plants do, or just stay small/runted and grow deformed leafs. If it dried out too much, got burnt, the new growth may have wilted away, making any newer growth difficult to produce. I am not sure what happens. I had a clone that wilted away too much and all of it's new growth dried away. I kept it for a month or two and it grew roots like no other, it's single fan leave was thick/monstrous, but it never produced new growth so I tossed it.

well under my better judgement i started the other two seeds and before i flower i will kill off two plants, obviously the worst ones. before setting up my scrog screen i will FIM the tops in hopes of getting multiple tops and then train horizontally. the one seedling that i was concerned about made a great recovery. even without the help of the 2nd pod leaf from birth it made progress. but i will grow all 6 that i have and ill remove two before i start my screen. thanks anyways
