Hi

I did a paper towel method. All showed the roots. I mixed coco with water. Added some thrive b vitamin. On Sunday Planted the seeds root down. Nicley Covered with some coco on the top. Added several drops of water and put it under a dome. Fluorescent light is about an inch away from the top of the dome.
5 of 13 showed up their heads Monday evening. I added several drops of water and covered with the dome and lowered the light where it was. I did the same thing yesterday. This morning, no new heads showed up and the ones that came out a bit are frozen in the same position, like a milimiter away from the soil line. No movement at all. They are still covered by the dome. I woke up early, removed the dome and moved the light a bit and wrote this post. Please help

I dont use any additives. Its not needed for seedlings IMO.. I have had seeds not germ there is no way for anyone to tell you why...I have had 0/10 seeds germ from Soma. It happens all the time. I have found that heat is really important with germinating seeds. Some need a higher temp like 85-90f to germ. If its to cold they will slow there growth allot.

The paper towel method is high risk. They were probably damaged when removing from paper towel and planting in medium. Best way is to soak seeds about 12-24 hours in water, then plant in soil or coco, covering with 1/4" of medium. Water the medium first, using an inoculant like Great White or similar, along with 1/15th strength veg nutes w/Ca, Mg and trace mins. Lay seed on surface, cover with medium, dribble nute mix to settle medium. A heating pad set at 78-80 degrees F [ 25-26 C] is usually good. No risk of damaging tender roots and root hairs. The inoculants fight Damping Off and other soil fungi. You can also put EWC in your water before adding nutes, shake, then add nutes. Good luck.
