George Michael Deffends Cannabis

Did anyone catch Parkinson last night? Well i did. I dont normally watch it, but i did last night. It had goerge michael on there and he was saying all this good shit about cannabis and how the world would be a better place if it were legal.
I now see him in a different light...a good light. Yes hes gay, but hes cool...i like him. I liked him before, but now i like him more.
He seemed kinda chilled out too. He was saying things like "its up to me if i dont want to drink alcohol, i like to smoke cannabis" and.." If alcohol was replaced with cannabis the world would be such a better place" and stuff like that,
and he was serious about the legalization of cannabis....really kinda serious.
And to hear this is coming from a great singer, who everyone know and many love, was just fantastic. I wonder how many people watched that, cos Parkinson is quite a big show here in uk, well i think, but anyway, as long as
i start hearing more celebs or famous people giving good reports on cannabis
i think things will start to head in the RIGHT direction...i hope. heres a link-

Just what we need are GAYS standing up for cannabis. What we need are successful businessmen standing up for cannabis. Otherwise pot will become associated (once again) with the MYTH of turning people gay.

I do not have a problem with gay people in the least, but most of America does, and so does its leaders. We don't need gays and cannabis being associated with each other. Then it'll be tanked for sure and marked as "immoral." I don't agree with it, but many Americans are just fucking stupid. What's next? George Michaels speaks out against the war? Then he's stigmatized as a gay, pot supporting, anti-American figure.

We need freakin' Bill Gates or Steve Jobs standing up for cannabis. We need Bill Clinton getting off his high horse and saying he actually did toke up. We need Al Gore and Tipper to say something about it. The people that should say something don't, and the people that are already controversial are.

Again: I do not have a problem with gays in the least and I support gay marriage. But we need controversial people to stop talking about weed. We need less controversial and equally successful people talking about weed.

I agree with Angst. Nothing against gays but we need people who are loved by all (war heroes etc)

You don't need any businessmen, gays, artists, doctors or lawyers to speak up for the herb.
What you need to do, is stand up and speak for yourselves. It doesn't matter what you do for a living or if you're gay or straight. We're all human beings who enjoy pot, but we're denied the satisfaction of it.
I'm not saying you need to become a pro-cannabis speaker, but what I'm saying is that you don't have to hide the fact that you're a smoker.
In the USA alone there are over 20 million smokers...
20 million people who can't rise together and claim their right to smoke? That's absurd! You shouldn't wait until someone GIVES you the right to smoke, you should TAKE it!
I know that people have difficulties working together, but we should at least try to protect each others rights. You can't sit around at home and expect some celebrities to talk about cannabis on TV because talking about cannabis on TV is not gonna make it legal. The pro-cannabis fight belongs "on the street". The publics attitude needs to change to a positive one, and if you have 20 million people talking openly and positively.. Well, you can just imagine what'll happen!
The fight doesn't start with George Michael or Willie Nelson, the fight starts with YOU! Be proud of who you are and what you stand for, and people WILL respect you and you opinions.

20 million still makes you a minority, though. The majority of Americans don't smoke pot. The majority of Americans are sheep and will take what is ever on Fox and listen to it like it's gospel. That's why I said what I did. I was being realistic. 20 million stoners standing up to say they smoke pot. Not going to happen. We're too afraid of what the rest of us will think. I have friends that used to smoke, don't anymore, and are drunkards claiming that pot ruined their life. The sheep are just way too stigmatized.

If you look at how the gay community stood up and claimed their right ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonewall_riots ), you should realize that you don't need the support or recognition of the government.. You just need the support of your community.
We don't need the majority to be smoking pot, we just need the majority to not care that WE'RE smoking pot.
If enough people stand up and claim their rights, eventually the sheep will follow, because it's in their nature.
I'm being realistic when I say that this is what will happen if we stop hiding.

First of all, im not a number one george micheal fan, his music does suck, theres only one song i like of his "dont let the sun go down on me" but thats not my point. Im not saying i want him to be anothe george cervantise (*spelling) or too lead the world of cannabis or anything. Im jus saying i saw him on a show,
talking openly about marijuana, and not dissing it. Hes famous and all that, so i thought the fans of his may of took a lil thought on cannabis a lil differently,
or the people watching the show.
I dont have any of his records, not because i dont like him or anything, but because i never really thought about him that much, and i dont like his music,
i said i liked him before...not his music.

Anyways i do do like one of his songs. I never thought he sang this song, but after i did a google i found this song,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixOlh1nxzTs

ITs not such a big deal, i only wanted to let you know, i thought this was a
good site to post it cos its on cannabis. If it was news about goerge micheal
getting a new boyfriend i wouldnt post it, cos i couldnt give a shit about that gay stuff.Dont try to make me out to be a number 1 fan, or a gay boy or anything thanks mate. He seemed like a descent guy to me on the show, gay or not, i like what he said on the show.

I probaly got a bit carried away and u thought i wanted him to have presidentcy over cannabis or something, or u thought it would affend me if u dissed george micheal , but i really dont care mate.

P.s; im not a stereotype and i dont care if a gay person smokes pot, cos marijuana is for everybody in my eyes.
