OK let me preface this first.... I HATE club music, most djs, electronica sounds inhuman. I'm a jazz snob/nut... I have enough jazz on my ipod to keep you busy for years and I listen to it alot. That and Zappa... and reggae...
But I heard some 'mash-up' while trimming last year... this guy named Girl Talk... before then I though 'computers, by definition, can NOT make real music'... but I LOVE this music, its the best thing ive heard since In a Silent Way.
Give it a chance if only for this reason... some women go fucking crazy for this stuff. They will dance to some strange shit and get down to some music that I find completely repulsive... but Girl Talk takes it to a new place that is fun for all.
so... go out on a limb... there isnt much more else I can say. Check out 'smash your head' (it was actually mention during a congressional debate over copyright and how it applies to new music. he mashes Biggie's 'Juicy' with 'Tiny Dancer', as if it was supposed to be that way. Also, 'here's the thing' is good. You can download his entire latest album, for free, on his website.
Oh and if by chance he is coming to your town... the concerts are notoriously wild, more of a party, like Parliament/Funkadelic in the 70s
