I hate to be the typical newb and start a thread with a bunch of questions, but I've browsed the forums for a month or two, and can't seem to make up my mind. So I want to purchase a small grow tent once I'm licensed, for a space that is 2 feet wide 2 feet in length, and probably 8 feet high. I browsed hidhut and hydrowholesale, and it seems the two options out there are 2x2x4, and a 2x2x5.3. I'm trying to keep startup costs fairly low, but obviously don't want to sacrifice too much on the final product. My first question is about lighting. Would it be more logical to go with a CFL, maybe a 2 foot, either 4 or 8 tube T5, or should I try to fit a 150W or 250W HPS in the mix somehow. I know the benefits of better buds and such of an HPS, as well as better lumens per watt efficiency (I think?), but in a small space such as 2x2x4, will heat become too much of an issue? I thought about doing an HPS setup like this:
So like I said, would it be most cost effective to do a CFL, with just an exhaust into a scrubber (or would heat even become a problem then?) or go with either a lower watt CFL for veg, or an MH, with an air cooled HPS into a scrubber for flower.
Sorry for the multitude of questions in there. I'll see if I can break it down:
for veg: CFL or MH?
For Flower: Still CFL or HPS
or a combo of CFL for veg, HPS for flower, and which of these combos will need some sort of heat control besides regular air circulation?
