Gen. quesntions and a problem (very droopy plants)

Slight Questions / Problems

the 3 tanks on the right and the 3 tanks on the left have 2 Resvars...

The 3 tanks on the right have a few plants 1 month from harvest, and the rest are new (had kill hermies from a bad bacht of clones) anyways... the roots seem discolered and 3 of the plants are hella droppy.. I don't get it, other plants are fine...

Here is some basic info....
Top Secret/ Bud Link/ h202/ Hygrowzyme

Thats the basic stuff we do dr.nodes and monster blood also... but the tanks on the right only have that 4 basic items...

1. Does top secret effect ph? becasue the ph has been weird it seems to jump more with this nutriant then the last going from 6.0 last night to 6.7 today....

2. The nutriants seem like enough?

3. Why are the plants droppy.... ? the other plants of same breed are fine.. I don't get it... btw the white roots are from the left tank! whats going on? thanks :)

Ph is 5.8-6.0 Most of the time, Temps never hit over 78 we use co2 temps never drp bellow 65, Room is very clean

We use Flood and drain.. we feed them for 10 min every 4 hours (at night we feed them twice every 6 hours) Does this seem like enough? also a tiny bit of water stays in the bottem of the tanks, never seemed to be a problem though casue as you can see the left tank has hella white roots!! ok thanks

well here is the thing, the other plants are fine, I use h202... and the roots dont... smell... bad.... they smell kinda like a pool... like the other tank... I know some the roots are a brownish tint but it could be from the lava rock maybe... becasue we just added a few plants in there and that happens sometimes.... I don't want to use so much h202... but what else can I do? and the other plants are fine.... any other ideas? or is it root rot, and if so what do I do? the roots could be colered from somthing else too.... gnatrol was used in the tanks when in veg its dark... I don't know :p any other insite? on my nutes? ppm... and how come the PH is giving me so much shit...

OH YA I Use Sweet!! also

they smell kinda like a pool <------ do you mean clorine

do you use city tap water and if so do they sanitize this water using clorine my city dose. now the clorine will evaporate after about 24 hr's, before ya fill your resivior do ya let water sit uncovered or just run it from the tap ???

Root Rot
What causes root rot? Low Oxygen levels. (DO) Desolved Oxigen. Temp's are the main reason for root rot, Low temps will lower the DO levels and high temps will cause low DO levels. Keeping temps between 65 to 82 will allow MAX DO levels or max o2 for roots. (Thank you so much for the information syko2! has provided above!)
Over watering also causes root rot, Root Rot infects parts of the roots, which then spread infecting the whole roots causing death, Root Rot can be caused by to high of temps in hydro as well as over watering. Not enough drainage in your soil can cause Root Rot, even signs of it looking over watered, because the soil holds moisture to long for the roots to dry out. So these 3 things are all connected together. The main one that causes everything is over watering. Once you find out you have root rot, depending on how bad the problem is, you can add H202( Hydrogen Peroxide) with your water or hydro setup to kill the bacteria caused from root rot. If the plant is severely taken over by it, there are only a few things you can do, cut off the roots affected by it depending on if its hair roots or tap roots, add H202, or just chop the plant. To prevent Root Rot, adding product's like Thrive Alive B-1, See Weed, Super thrive will help protect your plant's from root rot and will help cure root problems. ( Again ty so much for giving me the info syko2!!!)

Here is what root rot looks like: 4eBig thanks goes out to buzz, diggerdigzit and Shop Vac! Thanks for the pics guys!
First pic is of to high temps in the bubbler: Last 2 pics came from chemical burn root rot first pic, moldy rock wool with root rot.

Well here is the thing, growl ... we had a slight fungus gnast problem and killed them but they stayed in the roots.. i think there causing the issues... I use h202 anyways... is there anything else I can do? We can't cut them we just cut 15 hermies... 1 month in they just turned and I can't take another loss... sooo any other ideas? on how to reverse it? super thrive? Ive heard thats bad to use during Flowering

Hey xx, looking at your pictures, it looks like the plants have very little root space to grow into. You say those are roots off a 2 month old plant or so?
Well it seems the 10 gazziliion additives you are using(and can't even remember them all cause you are using way too many) are causing more damage than good...
Also, it looks like all the roots are submerged in water all the time. Where is the air bubbler and how do the roots breathe? They look completely suffocated to me.

that would explain the drooping and the slow root growth imo.
Bad living conditions will then naturally encourage mold and rot...

The photo is at a odd angel.. there is plenty of room for the roots and the three tanks on the right which are doing fantasic (2 weeks veg) have Tons of healthy white roots, and they love it....

We use 2 main nutes at any given time and 1-3 additives thats not to mannny Im very carefull about what I put into my water only thing Im not postive about is h202.... why I was asking...

I also grow sea of green, Im not growing trees its not about making big plants.... I just don't think you have the best understanding of my situation.... possibly it is root rot, but no its not from the tank or anything becasue the other 6 tanks we have running are doing perfect....

I don't think you read my entire post if you had you would of read one of my tanks had debree build up it didn't drain like it should have and the roots sat in stagnet water over night and now im trying to get my roots back, im looking for ways to save my plants becasue I won't cut them..

From my good tank (notice lush white roots) plenty of space just a odd angel

you need to be aware of the fact that fungus gnats in of them selves are not harmfull to your plants. its the gnat larva thats the problem. they live in the medium and eat your freshly grown root tips. if left unchallanged they can destroy a hydro grow. the only way to combat them is uesing solbac or gnatrol or other BTi based product. get it in liquid form not tabs they are useless. add the stuff to your tank. and keep it in there for two weeks. what i did was only fill my tank enough to last for three or four days. this way the solbac was never older then 3 to 4 days in the tank. which is all the time it remains active for once in water.

if on the other hand you have root rot, then the trouble is bigger. the water temps are esential in a dwc setup as well as the air saturation of the water. if these things are and have always been ok, you probably don't have root rot. in which case time to fight those gnat larva. you did say that they rtemained in your roots right?

peace and all the best
