what does gdp stand for? and where can i get some beans?

i have some purple kush beans from a "cabbageman" but i never did grow any, this thread has made me change my mind!

GDP is Grand Daddy Purple. I doubt your beans are the same as the PK clone in this thread. I con't know of any beans made unless they came from or scrappy and plus there are some many PK cuts going around calling a clone PK it only half the story. With that said germ them, you never know if you got a gem sitting in the fridge.

A couple of us did this X a while ago and they are now 2-3' outdoors. A total of seven ladies were divvied out amongst friends OD in NorCal. Will perhaps post pics late fall.

Incidentally, the mendo Lavender aka Humboldt Lavender is not the same as GDP or Urkle. There should also be some OD pics forthcoming of OD PI, Urkle, and Lavender.

i heard that subcool has put out an untested line of Urkel bx and Urkle x Space Quine (Querkel?) but theas are only for sale on some auction site. my frend from up yonder who i get clones and meds from, he doesnt like this breeder much cause he crosses everything with this space dood male and doesnt stabilize genetics befor puting seeds to market, he thought the resent article in HT was funny. i thought it was wonderfull, subcools had grape ape, GDP and urkelin his article, the centerfold i think was Granddady

i dont know if you know or not, but high times is not really an authority on anything besides making money, nothing against them, i love going to the cups, but take what they say with a grain of salt.

They're not all the same but they usually get called the same thing. I've personally seen bud and plants of urkle called at least 8 different names. Some include: Lavender, Purps, Mendo Purps, Purple Kush, lavender kush, grapes, grape ape, grape kush, grandaddy kush, grandaddy purp, urple, im sure there's more. Sometimes i see the same plant in different trays in the SAME room called 2 different names Or sometimes the same bud but with one ziplock filled with the non colorful stuff called somethin else.

Ignorance and purposeful misdirection...

Anyways... my boy BC will be back with his opinion of them all sooner or later

Not really a close up, so you can't tell shit... but everyone, by now, knows that these are different strains that grow differently and produce different smelling and tasting ganja... world class.

I just cropped the PK, I will have some better pics soon.
PK, by the "feel" outyeilded the GDP... same grow style, same everything.

Just droppin my two cents. I prefer the taste of the purple erkle above all other purple strains. its just so sweet. As far as growing goes, i noticed the GDP seemed to have slightly more explosive growth (considering different mediums were used, that is). On another note, here is a shot of mendo purps approximately {edit}20 days flower (can't remember for certain). i heard that this two was one of the supposed same strains (urkle, erkle, urple, gdp etc). check it out.

sorry, just wanted to add to that last post that the mendo purps ended up tasting VERY similar to the erkle (id even believe they were pheno's of each other if someone wiser than myself said so).
