I was aware you were doing some legwork on this one, I jus didn't see enough pics like those and woulda liked to see some veg pics.. But that's one hell of a job with that many plantz..
From your past comments/statements on the matter I do believe some of these purples are jus the same cut with a dif name, but I'd like to find the ones that aren't the same..
Regardless, all the work puttin' together a bed like that surely pays off upon harvest
This 4'x4' bed...^^^...is a True side by side by side grow of...
Humboldt Purple Urple/Urkle...from Southern Humboldt circa 2001.
Ken's GrandDaddy Purple...from DragonFly circa 2004.
Mendo Lavender...from Northern Mendocino County circa 2005.
Nepalean Purple...from Southern Humboldt circa 2005.
Tuity Fruity Purple...from Northern Humboldt/Arcata circa 2004.
Pakistani Purple Kush...from Southern Humboldt circa 2003.
Grape Ape...from Central Mendocino County circa 2006.
Out of all the purples mentioned in this thread I think the Swerve PurpK is the only one not related. I haven't flowered it yet, but the leaf is totally different and it's very vigorous and a little lanky in veg.beancounter said:From your past comments/statements on the matter I do believe some of these purples are jus the same cut with a dif name, but I'd like to find the ones that aren't the same..
Right on.Nspecta said:I'll try ta post up close ups of all tha 'different' purples from tha bed/s when I get some more time...as well as some finished nug shotz...
most interesting !Nspecta said:Hey Bc...I've got a veg pic of 'em in my gallery (& below)...as fer whether they're all tha same or different...I've said it before & I'll say it again...for breeding & preservation purposes the only ONE ta keep is tha Purple Urple/Urkle...tha rest are hybrids at best, if not tha same thang.
If some of them are indeed hybrids...then it's my honest opinion that they're some crappy hybrids...<<< In reference to GrandDaddy Purple & Grape Ape...considering I've, personally, found better 'Purple' hybrids in every Urple cross I've ever made & grown out.
I'll try ta post up close ups of all tha 'different' purples from tha bed/s when I get some more time...as well as some finished nug shotz...
...Quote from a post o' mine @ Breed-Bay...dating tha acquisition of tha 'different' cuts...in some cases when I originally got 'em (example...Urple/Urkle 2001)...&...in other cases when my bro's first got 'em (example...GDP 2004).
Take 'er eazy, IGT
It does.beancounter said:Altho I think if one used fresh clones all would be not too bad, but i'd bet K'sPK does root a bit slower in perfect conditions aswell..
