There is a beefed up purple strain if I ever saw one. Even just the Blackberry x White rhino would be stronger then plain Blackberry.
I hear someone just made a GDP x a sour Diesel hyrbid.
Said turns darn near black at the end and tastes like grapey diesel.

GDP is in my 10 all time favorites indefinately. Urkle is also very nice, but not as wonderfully tastey and as large yielder as the GDP I've seen. But then again, that's just my experience.

What a keeper mom she is. There's always a catch tho, she tastes nothing like any purple such as KGDP or Urkle etc...;( definitely sweet and kushy spiceness is there, but not the GRAPE I crave LOL

I CAN relate to the flavor of purple in general.. nearly a purfumed flava, unmistakeable, and Ive only seen it in one or two green plants (they were the minor phenos of dominantly purple lines, Shaman for example)

Right on OG. Imagine a super dense, sugar coated, dark purple and green nug that coats your throat like the sour strains, but with a deep grape/spicy flavor that expands and the head change is pretty sharp. Very medicinal/ tastey bud. It kinda reminded me of some kush in it too.

The Urkles I've gotten have been more compact, and more overall purple than the gdP as well as being more on the sweeter grape side, not so much spicy.

OGBUB, I know you have some legendary elites yourself. Good to be in this cool thread.

Truth! In the bay, people got GDP everywhere... She is a delicous strain with a potent buzz to match... Has a high ceiling, and just tastes awesome down to the last hit... Very nice looking buds too! Good thread folks... JAH Bless

JD - I have yet to come across a good blackberry that compares to the urkles, purple k, or the GDP so those are what I was speaking of. Here in the yay there are so many different purps floatin around that all have similar taste and that med. potency everyone complains about. They have a good high but not like my green crack, ortega, or Black D. I want to see some other crosses with these ladies to boost pot. and lower the flowering time if possible(GDP is fine in that area) so those will be what i will try to work as the summer/fall moves along. Imagine a GDPxOG , GDPx Ortega , pKx black D.or my fav. SharonxPK!!!! I do have a bunch of blue rhino seeds sitting in the icebox that you reminded me of when you mentioned the white rhinoxblackberry cross as well! I just have been wondering why these haven't been talked/worked with more. I had a friend grow out subs Double p. doja and I believe it was a blackberry cross. It had none of the flavor of the 3 I speak of above but i know the high was more intense than the others. I guess i am searching for the purple holy grail!!!! According to the reports i've read, what you want to get your hands on may be PI/Purple Indica. If you don"t mind losing some taste for potency...

I can"t really speak for Beancounter but i think it goes without saying that eventually some Urkle x dc and Purpk x dc MAY be made eventually

wow look at the interest on this one.. I guess a thread like this has been a long time comin' guaging by the reaction..

too many posts to reply to but thanks for the interest folks.. Mendo Purps and Grape Ape should make their way into the mix in a month or so, and i'll be sure to report my findings on those aswell, maybe i'll start those 2 sidebyside and maybe with swerve's PK or some other purples..


s4vvy, you may be right, but I will probly use Bub's PAKI IBL for the next bigger project to see how she outcrosses.. and she can put out all sorts of purple from what i've seen so far..

I'll likely take the best 2-3 purps and do some work with them.. but that'll take some time and the beans will need to be tested of course..

STS will also be used to make S1s of the best few cuts for personal back up and friends..


Since I recieved these 3 cuts at the same time it made this a lil easier to do, and it shouldn't take too much time to do a few updates here and there..


I will go take pics of all 3 right now to show you where we're at after a couple days.. the KPK looks a bit behind, but i'm trying to let her catch up a bit then all plants will be vegged out in the same area to keep enviromentaly related phenotypical variation to a minimum..

From the looks of it so far the GDP is a lil stretchier than the Urkle, and a lil thinner leaves.. besides that, they're damn near identical.

K's PK looks quite a bit dif so far, in a side-by-side, but they all share some traits.. we'll see more as they all progress..

PS - BC is the Paki. a clone only or a strain someone has seeds for. I think you had a thread with it i saw not that long ago.

Nah i've never seen PI around, or deep chunk as far as bud is concerned. And i done bent a few corners around here.. I did grab a Purple Indica clone from CARE about a year ago and it turned out to be Purple Cream At some point i'll go out of my way to mess with PI but Urkle is and has been fine for a long time now

As far as crosses go, I'm no authority on breeding but the DC x Urkle and DC x purpk would probably get made before DC x GDP for any real breeding purposes. I base this on the documented speculation of the above plant's true genetic make up. Urkle supposedly being an old paki/gani - relatively pure. K's Purp K supposedly being an offspring of a seedline (f1 perhaps )/ or... just an old kush cut - relatively pure. GDP supposedly being Urkle x Big Bud - slightly diluted i guess Again i'm no breeder, not even close, so its just more assumptions and speculation from over here <---

The Purpk will probably look similar to the others when she gets bigger. Stout and branchy - also slow like Urkle. The leaves will be thinner and the green will become lighter, more emerald like, and shiny. That's how she looked in my garden at least. Anyway, they seem to be off to a good start so
