GDP vs Urkle side by side grow off..

For those that care I thought this would likely be the best forum for this comparison, and reference..

I got these clones from a trusted and reliable source and their 'legitimacy' is fairly well known..


They spent 6.5 days in the mail, and were rooted in SunShineMix#4 w/ Stim Root #1 rooting powder in a dome under floros off to the side.. simple and effective.

The Urkle rooted 1 day earlier at 10 days, and put in the 4" pot with SSM#4 1 day earlier aswell.. But they are both the same overall size even tho Urkle had a 1 day headstart..

They're both now vegging under T5s, side by side.. They'll get transplanted into 1 gallons and flowered when big enough, left untopped/trained to see their natural structure..

These pics were taken at what i'm callin day 0.. jus starting to grow and recover from being cloned, fully hardened off..

*I will also be folding K's (not Kyle Kushman) Purple Kush into this side-by-side, or already have.. K's PK rooted about 2-3 days later than the GDP and Urkle above, but the starting cut i'll be using was slightly bigger, so it should be a good comparo.. on my next update K's PK will be a full part of this thread and will continue to be..

feel free to add yer own pics if you like.. and I'm sure this has been done before I just wanted to see for myself..

This should be good, I've always wanted to see how much more the Granddaddy yielded over the Urkle. That PK yields more than Urkle, it's alittle faster in veg and stretches a little more in flower.

I think you will like K's PK the best of all of them. It truely is FIRE. My fav Purple strain so far and I have tried (grown and smoked, mine and others) all three you listed.

i have both of these strains as well, it will be interesting to see how yours turn out... I prefer the flavor of the purple urkle, and the size and ease of growing from gdp.. Side by sides rock!

I just got the K purple Kush....can't wait to smoke that shit.
I hear it tastes like grape coffee kush. I like the sound of that.
We all know that purple taste.
Like Urkle,kind of. BUt ofcourse every purple has it's own taste but they are all very similar tasting to eachother.
From my experience at least.
But thanks for the comparison thread, I've always wanted to do this myself.
But purples aren't really my thing.
As far as the High goes. Purple Kush is the only purple I've really loved.
And that was only one of the versions.
I bet this K version of Purple Kush is gonna be way better.
You can tell from the pic's. More crystals and more of an indica like it should be.
The other Garberville version is really good in it's own way too though.
But it's the indica taste of purple affy x Kush that I'm looking for.

Ive always wondered why folks haven't done crosses with the purple strains and some of the real heavy hitting stuff to get rid of the low potency without losing taste. Im sure they have but haven't really seen much on them. maybe a I will get some motivation later on this summer and make some crosses with my sharon or green crack. Anyways I cant wait to see what happens here with the two side by side.
