Looking at usring a gavita pro 1000w de light in a 5x5 gorilla tent and I am worried about heat. Going to be using a 700cfm fan to vent w controller. Will be using a stand up ac unit outside the tent to control ambient temps. Exhaust will be vented directly outside.

What are your thought? I really like the gavita for a few reason's.

Good luck, what are the ceiling heights? I'm in a similar position, was looking to do 2 1k gavitas but I don't think the headroom is enough. Would think that the temps aren't that different than a 1k with a ballast but maybe not?

From what I have read you can do a remotest mount with the ballast so it's not all 1 unit

actually 1 1000w gavita DE.. covers a 5x5 perfectly.. and way better the any other 1000w.. does.. the temp.. with a 700+cfm fan.. shouldn't be a issue.. but you cant be sure because we don't know ambient temps in your place and shit .
