How hot do the non air cooled LEP's get?

Thinking about replacing 432 watts of T-5's if the LEP would be a heat reduction

Long life and full spectrum + lower heat are the benefits. Cost is the downside and they are a new technology .

Not only better spectrum but also UVA/UVB irradiation from the plasma light.
This benefits you during flowering period more than veg.
THC is the defense mechanism for the plant vs the UV rays of the sun. I used a LEP 300 veg for flowering and got 0.8g/w per m2. Very nice.
I could have put 4 plants in 1m2 but I decided to put only one, to test the possibilities. That plant on DWC gave 60+gr meaning 4 plants would give 240+g/1m2 with 300w LEP.

And the amount of resin was incredible.



I will use it again in my bio buckets in a few weeks, feel free to follow and watch the results.

Ok so you say you get 1/2 lb per 300 w plasma veg and flower with no other light? What where buds like? Popcorn airy? either I messed up grow or got crap plants or damaged lights somehow? They are looking like florescent grow 7weeks in.

The thing goes like this. You can either go for quantity, or quality.

Quality mean better spectrum and UVA/B lights. Quantity mean high amounts of photons. Here's a link explaining a bit about how EL lamps work.

You can get great yields with 1000w, but I have seen the power of 600w +300w plasma at the final product.
I had the change to try amnesia haze from a plasma + hps grow back in Amsterdam and its was one of the best buds I ever had.
Buds hard as a rock, alot of resin.. really compact.

Intense effect, really different from the normal AH I tried before from HPS only.

The hps amnesia was more corporal, yet the plasma one was more cerebral and intense.

btw I doubt you have a bad lamp. OR electrical issues.

btw, I dont vegetate with the plasma, I use either a 50w white led, or a TCL mammoth 36w.

Plasma only for flowering, and I have the veg plasma.. so I was impressed with the outcome. Way better than my 250w HPS

If you do the math 4 x 60+g is about 240g in my 1.5m2 but I only use 1m2 because I like extra moving space to facilitate my work. Under 1 Lep300 and planing on adding a 750 double ended if I can afford it. Making it 0.8g/w with 1050w mix plasma hps should be a nice experiment.

Can't start links for some reason. But it is in noob section under gavita noob grow + lep. I had watering problems depending problems feed problems first run. IM gearing up for second run using seeds from Sensi not sick clones. Had termites fungus gnats spider mites feed problems env problems. So I can't say it was lep all my friends telling me my sexy lights are no good expensive junk. Ego in dirt. I still believe though. Just want to them to prove themselves to me. (lights)
