I am trying to light a 30'x30' flower room using Gavita DE lighting.
I Am trying to figure out the benefits of using the 1k pro line regular DE vs the 277-347 volts ballasts.
I know if i go with the latter i will be using less amperage.But my concern is i've read before that using 400v runs the lamp better.But the standard Gavita DE also claims using 400v to run the lamp which is confusing because it is a 240 v ballast?.
If i do go with the 3 phase route(277-347 ballasts) i'd have to get a step down transformer which adds to the costs.
The other question is the reflector's coverage is listed as 4'x6' according to Gavita.So that's roughly 35 reflector total according to my calculation.5 rows of 7 reflectors.
What do you Gavita experts say???
