Hola a todos.

I began growing in January of last year. At the time I was living in South America and the quality of weed available was subpar. I realized the only way I could smoke high grade herb was if I grew it myself. I was knowledgeable on how to grow medicinal mushrooms and assumed cannabis wouldn't be much different. I was extremely wrong, and have killed many plants and made many mistakes so far. Now I have access to high quality weed, but don't like the high quality price tag. Most of what I have learned has been through reading or watching YouTube videos. I consider myself very inexperienced when it comes to cultivating, but we all start somewhere!

I assumed most forum platforms had died off, so I mainly used discord for cannabis discussions. I found this forum when looking for reviews on Advanced Nutrient's Connoisseur line, and stumbled upon this thread after I had already made the purchase.

I currently grow indoors in the US, but plan to buy farmland in Colombia so I'll hopefully have an outdoor grow soon too. I fell for the Advanced Nutrients marketing and am running them currently, having switched from General Hydro's 3 mix solution. I use a HLG Blackbird in my main 5x4 tent, and halve a 160w Vivosun light in my 2x2 veg tent. The soil I am currently using is Happy Frog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fourth Grow

This grow began on 6/26/22. It only consists of a HODAS which comes from Skunk Devil Genetics (Heart of Darkness x Balkh Afghan x Egyptian Sinai), and two Tropolope x Romulan that come from AK Bean Brains. I planted a few different strains so I had named this grow "The Cluster Fuck", but in order to stay within my states legal limit, I could only choose 3 seedlings to keep growing.

on Day 14 I began LST. I really enjoy doing this to my plants. I don't do it for increased yields or for any other reason besides the joy I get from it.

On Day 27 I transplanted the HODAS strain into a three gallon. Whenever I transplant, I give my plants names. Meet Meadow.

Day 31

I was originally going to grow a Lavender Afghani as my third plant. It was a project I was working on with someone one the server I was a part of. Since I'm no longer a part of that community, I don't want to build upon that dudes genetics. I'm giving that plant away, and have begun LSTing one of the TxR seedlings I was going to give away. It's a bit late for me to start LST, but I'm hoping it reacts well to it. This grow officially will consist of 2 TxR seedlings, and one HODAS seedling.

Also, this plant named Tramposa was part of a contest in that discord server. It was supposed to be grown in 8 oz of medium. Now that I'm not participating anymore, I transplanted it and am making it a bonsai mother plant for my Lemon CBDiesel by Relic.

Day 38
flush
I've been closely monitoring all three of my plants ever since I believed to have caught a magnesium deficiency. As pointed out by Creeperpark, it may be the indica lineage of Romulan that's showing up. It adds up, since both my Tropolope x Romulan plants are showing the same leaf color difference. I was able to replant all 3 of my plants and have moved them to their main growing area. They're each receiving 600 ppfd , and I have the RH set at 70. I'm having a lot better results with LST this time around.

I've defoliated some fan leaves that were being obstructed and or were obstructing light from getting to the branches. I've identified some branches that are going to be cut here soon for cloning purposes. I'm having issues again figuring out the sweet spot for watering, as I seem to be over and under doing it. I decided to preform a flush today, and will start flushing after every third feed as I did with my previous grow.

Meadow AK Bean Brain's Tropolope ( Chocolope x Space Jill) x Romulan
Meadow was originally HODAS but this TxR resembled her more.

As you can see, I'm rewatching The Sopranos.

Day 39:
Well, stomp my nuts and call me Planters; I think I done burnt my plants. Carmela is showing some solid signs of burn, while Meadow and Janice have some slight signs. I will continue to monitor and to feed regular 6.5 water. May the heavens forgive me for the transgression I have preformed on my plants.

Day 89:

Hey y'all, I'm not sure if anyone takes a look at this thread, so I haven't been keeping it updated as well as I usually do. However, welcome to day 89! In the past 50ish days, I've done a few things. First, I transplanted all three of my plants from their 2 gallon pots into 5 gal pots. Second, I installed a SCROG net and defoliated the plants to better fit in it. Around day 70, I began to notice a deficiency issue going on with Meadow (as shown on the first picture). Therefore, I increased the Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur Veg parts a 'n' b to 8 mL instead of 4 that I had been feeding them prior. Both Meadow and Janice (Tropolope x Romulan) reacted great from the feeding, but I noticed that Carmela (HODAS) seemed to have shown slight signs of burn after it's first feeding. It recovered the next day, so I decided to feed it once more to see how it would react. 8 mL is definitely too much, as shown in the second picture. I decided to flush out all three plants the next time they needed a feeding, which happened to be today. I used 470 oz of 6.5 pH water to feed the plants until I had about 10% run off. I then tested the runoff for pH, and didn't really like the results. Only one plant is showing a healthy pH of 6, while the other two are at ~5.7. Advanced Nutrients has "perfect pH technology", so the plants nutrient feed has been 6.5 every time. I didn't test the run off for PPM, but I will flush next feeding as well in an attempt to raise the pH of my soil before slowly re-introducing nutrients and test it then. Besides this slight hiccup with the nutrients, the plants are doing great.
