GANJA IN NEPAL

After a few trips to the villages in a Nepal I decided to film this one. We are on our way to Hetauda, Makwanpur district of Nepal. THe heart of hemp and cannabis farming in Nepal. My wife is nepali and so happens to own some land down there. So we went. On one stop , we needed to take a leak and found a piece of jungle of the side of the road, woa steep. Couldn't even touch the plant in front of me it was so steep , but got to smoke a bowl of hash and take some video as well. Nepalese hashish is well known, notorious for it's potency, it's one of the SOUGHT after hashish in the world! The USA government made hash and ganja illegal in NEpal in 1974, they paid the king 40 million to make it so. Now to obtain ganja you either have to get it on the road or on a trek in the mnts or from a HEROIN JUNKIE on the street .. or sadhus and yogis .. They used to have hash shops in Kathmandu, the capitol of Nepal. ANyway enjoy this short clip of some Nepali cannabis.
thanks for looking :joint:

cool how did that sun dried stuff taste.?

that their way of curing it!! Actually it's really hard to find pure ganja that hasn't been rubbed down for hash... everytime you got to get some ganja , it been rubbed down! Hash is the mainstay of the ganja family in nepal...

well rubbed hash cures great once it is made, it becomes increasingly glassy with age when stored right I think... can last up to a couple of years and retain potency, though not much more perhaps

I must ask though - why were you looking for ganja... sounds a bit bonkers to me when you can be smoking charas.... each to their own of course

I guess you didnt read the caption

I guess you didnt read the caption

We werent looking for ganja>>>> WE just happened upon it while taking a leak>> listen to the video .... and read... also. when one does nothing
but smoke hash in nepal, one wants some charas, or ganja for that matter.. it gets a bit redundant smoking hash all the time,,, I dont remember asking for your opinion on whats better, how long it keeps and what it looks like.

pheeew keep your hair on tinty, bloody 'ell... think you might have got the wrong end of the stick there man

btw when you say hash you mean sieved do you? I am wondering because I have heard from many people what they are increasingly finding in Nepal is sieved hash, as opposed to hand-rubbed charas

btw that distinction charas to mean hand-rubbed, and hashish to mean sieved is a Western one... if you go to Pakistan and Afghanistan everything is sieved and it is all called charas/chaars

I've scored nice dry sieve in Nepal.
I knew a nice guy who often supplied me with excellent goey black charas. One day he had something "Special" he said, and pulled out a very light coloured pollen hash.
It was very lightly pressed, and i felt kinda wierd to crumble compared to the maroccan pollen im so used to smoke at home. When i put a lighter to it, i could see stuff burning, but also i could see thricormes bubbling.
The hash was indeed very strong, and almost on par with some of the best marocs I've smoked, even though the product wasn't as "clean" (burning material in the hash). If its actually better or worse than charras is a matter of taste imo. Im a charas fan, but i also apreciate a good slap of maroc :joint:
It doesn't compete with the charas imo, and i agree with ngakpa, that we should support the unique charas traditions in these parts of the world (Nepal, Himachal, Kashmir).
The grass you get in these regions can often be described as "Schwag" or "grass". I've never found good weed in Nepal. ALways full of seeds and horribly cured.

Just my two cents..

Never ending peace and love

Excuse me good sir, but you named the topic "ganja in nepal".
If we arent supposed to debate on this subject, why the hell did you post your video on a debate forum? Just because you might not get the response you expected, there's no need to take our posts as personal insults.
I liked your video, thanks for sharing. But you gotta chill more :)

Peace

Nice video, it's cool that you've traveled to a far away destination like Nepal, I've never been out of the states. I don't think anyone is out of line though posting there opinions about the weed, hash, etc. in Nepal given the title of the thread. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

tintala you were out of line ngakpa was simply making conversation. the thread is titled ganja in nepal should we not discuss ganja in nepal? but its a nice video youve got there and ic doesnt need anymore negativity so. the sadhu village you mention. have you been there before ? would you say the hash and charas that the sadhus have is superior quality than what you can get on the black market?
